Y net and user I’d still works but that was form tisch this past summer my nyu email address is still activated and eveything so hopefully this is a good sign.

good luck everyone! only 2 more weeks of sleepless nights left…

Ha so true. I cannot fall asleep anymore because of this.

yeahh i probly shouldnt have logged onto here this soon before the letters come out lol cuz everyones anxious on here and thats makin me more anxious lol but if anybody doesnt get in…i looked at the stat profiles on CC…and ppl who got into NYU also got into IVYS! somehow…idk how but they did. with like 1800s too. and to like USC. wich is craazzy but that was my other choice. im still studying for my SATs! all this studyin will go to waste if i get in lol but i kinda doubt that i will get in…? with an 1800. lol

It really depends on everything you offer.
If you score low, but are an outstanding applicant, then they can and have overlooked.

yeahh i was just looking over my app again and it just doesnt seem like everything ive been thinking about. like on paper, it seems much diff and simple. i probly shoulda used the nyu app instead of common. but yeah if i dont get in, ill hope i get into usc. lol

someone posted on the Facebook group “letters went out already… two people from my school and i already got our acceptances”

wow, this makes me so terribly anxious/nervous/stressed.

Is it just LSP and Tisch, or is it CAS (regular acceptance, not LSP) and Tisch?

Also, has anyone heard from Gallatin yet?

I am getting pretty stressed out. I have this gut feeling I won’t get in. I would be happy if I got LSP’d but I have not receieved a letter in the mail or an email or anything else from NYU besides an “Academic expectations” letter.

December 15 seems so close, yet so far away.

Last year, the Tisch Film and TV letters didn’t go out until the second week of December. I think CAS went out around the same time. LSP went out earlier to give those students time to determine if they wanted to accept LSP or not.

Tisch students have NOT been notified yet, the student ambassador confirms this. He said that letters do not go out for another week/week and a half.

do u know if thats only for tisch kids? it seems like a lotta ppl didnt apply to CAS…? hopefully! im assuming theyll mail out CAS at the same time. if i didnt get in, i guess itd be alright to get LSPed…but it kinda seems like its not so great…

Hey guys.
I got into Liberal Studies on Saturday, and I wasn’t too thrilled.
But after looking into it and doing some intensive research, I’ve found that it’s actually really tight.
LSP has smaller classes of like 25ish, so its like the Claremont colleges in Cali. Small and liberal arts focused.
I happen to be pre-med, so I’ll be taking sciences classes like mad over at CAS.
If I decide to go that is…
Hope that sheds some light on the real deal at LSP

wow! congratulations! thanx for posting that and if anyone else finds out some good stuff about LSP, PLEASE post it! also i JUST went to see claremont a few weeks ago! cuz i live in cali and its close by. altho jw…isnt 25 kinda a big class? i thot private skools had like 10-15 kids in each class? im taking at class at a CSU and the class has like 30 or 35 ppl in it but i dont think it be that much diff with 5 or 10 less ppl in it cuz its still pretty big. this is just in general for any private college…not to put NYU down or anything.

also what did u apply under at CAS? i put neuroscience down but thats probly waay to intense for my scores. and do we get to live with the same students we wouldve lived with and all that if we’re in liberal studies?

oh and y’all prolly no this jk lol but you all probly no this…and i dont…do our senior grades matter so much if we’re doing ED? especially if we get A’s and B’s? like should i not bother too much and get 2 B’s instead of 1 B? i can control that. well this trimester, i might be able to get straight A’s…but maybe 1 B. if i get 2 Bs would that be fine?

last trimester, i had 3 APs and one reg class. I got all A’s except 1 B in an AP class. is that fine?

im never gonna get a C or anything like that. i know THAT would matter.

Anybody apply to Global Liberal Studies? if so, did you hear yet?

Hey thanks!
I put down pre-professional medicine on my app. I feel like if I knew I wanted to do pre-med even last year, I’d have taken a more science-oriented course load, but it’s only recently that I’ve jumped on the pre-med ball.
And yea, we totally get the same housing as everyone. Like you could have a Tisch roommate if you’re LSP.
So today I ran to the college counselor’s office to figure all this out, and that’s how I actually know what I’m talking about haha.

We called NYU and they said that normal class sizes range from 15-25ish at LSP, and depending on your major, you’ll take classes at CAS that go towards it. CAS kids have their own liberal requirements, and there’s only a few required courses for LSP kids: freshman year writing, frosh & soph cultures, and frosh & soph social. Then you just squeeze in some science, and 1 “quantitative reasoning,” and after that its a free for all!! Lastly you might have language requirements, unless you dodge that bullet :)

I am an international student from China, received LSP acceptence email a few days back. Big dilemma on whether to accept it: as I am sending to Florence for my 1st year. My research shows this LSP program is probably better, as for international student, since it is more structured. My concern is really how I can smoothly transfer to NYU after 1st year in Florence and the professors in Florence. If they are not natvieEnglish speaker, I will have trouble to learn good English.

I applied to Clive Davis at Tisch, apparently will hear back by the 15th. SO nervous.

I applied ED to CAS, English Lit major. Haven’t gotten a letter yet, but I’m in Florida and don’t know if the LSP letters have headed south yet. I guess no news is good news! Really nervous.
