hm i don't think i have a decision yet....

i went to the admissions part of opus but it only shows like course catalog and schedule...

where did you guys see your decision?

[/quote]

Only minorites (that they seemed to want to accept) have received descisions today

^^Are you sure about that? That is a very bold assumption. I mean unless the Emory admission officers specifically said that only minorities who they wanted were to be notified today.

I think that's just a guess based on everyone on this site who got the letter being a minority, and the letter itself mentioning something about minority programs at Emory.

My guess is only people who got accepted found out, and those who are going to get rejected will find out April 1st. (Minorities in any case)

I say that because I'm a minority and I did not get the e-mail and my decision is not ready. I probably did not get in.

Aww I wouldn't be so pessimistic. These just could have been the reviewed minorities or the ones with particularly outstanding applications. I wouldn't be upset until you actaully see a rejection letter.

Hi,
Do you guy check ED Decision through OPUS or the email Emory sent to you?? It seems that I can not wait anymore!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I mean RD decicion ^_^

OPUS. The email just notifies you that your decision has been made and is available on the website.

"Decisions will come out on March 31st, 2007 at 7:00 <- it means eatern time (EST) or central time(CST)?

Probably Georgia time. :)

Wait, so is it just accepted minority students from southern states?

Neither, EDT :P

7pm, I'd assume?

7am on Saturday, March 31 is when Emory has announced decisions will come out for RD applicants.

http://www.emory.edu/ADMISSIONS/Decisions/Reg-decisions.htm

Actually, it says that the decisions will be posted BY 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, leaving some hope that they might be posted earlier! I guess we'll still be checking periodically!

I just got this message from Emory:

As you await your admission decision, we'd like to share some exciting news. Emory University recently was named a best value in private colleges by Kiplinger's magazine, and the Goizueta Business School Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program ranks 4th among the best undergraduate business schools as reported by BusinessWeek. These are just two shining examples of Emory's continued commitment to providing students with a more affordable, high-quality education.

Emory Ranked 8th for Best Value
The April 2007 issue of Kiplinger's lists the '50 Best Values in Private Colleges,' with Emory positioned at number eight, among other national, top-tier private institutions. Data is compiled from criteria such as academics and affordability, admission rates, student-faculty ratio, and cost after need-based aid. In our efforts to ease the loan burden for incoming students, Emory recently introduced a new financial aid initiative, Emory Advantage, which helps to provide a more cost-efficient liberal arts education to students and families with assessed annual incomes of $100,000 or less and demonstrated financial need. To learn more about Emory Advantage, please visit the web site.

Emory Named Leader in Undergraduate Business Programs
Emory's Goizueta Business School climbed from fifth to fourth place in the country in the 2007 BusinessWeek ranking of undergraduate business programs. Goizueta was ranked second in the country in student satisfaction, earning an A+ in all three student categories. Other factors that contributed to Goizueta's successful ranking included academic quality, the ratio of faculty to students, average class size, the percentage of business majors with internships and a significant increase in the ranking by corporate recruiters. The BBA program was also recognized for preparing students for success in MBA programs-BusinessWeek ranks Goizueta ninth in the country as a feeder school into the top MBA programs. Please visit the Goizueta Business School website..

Did anyone else get this (or not get it)? I am wondering if they sent this e-mail to everyone or maybe this is their way of a likely letter?

I got it, wondered the same thing :P

I also got that email. I have a feeling that it was sent to everyone.
