Official European History AP Exam Discussion 2010

Agh! I was expecting it to be harder, but it still wasn’t easy.

The MC was alright, and the DBQ I feel like I misinterpreted one document, but that you’re allowed one misinterpretation right?

And for FRQ I chose 4 and 6 (:

When I first looked at the DBQ, I went like headdesk*. But only because my practice/final exam for my actual AP class had a really easy DBQ to do. But I soldiered through it. The MC … I never know how I do on the MC. It felt easier than most I’ve taken, but that doesn’t mean it was easier. As for the essays (3/7), I haven’t a clue what I went on to scribble for 5 agonizing pages. I envision a 4 in my future. Hopefully a FIVE!

God, how did anyone know how to do #6?

As for the DBQ, it was definitely more difficult to group and more difficult to interpret (hopefully I only misinterpreted 1) than the ones before. However, it was really easy to bring in outside info.

what do you mean how did anyone know how to do #6? i did it and i felt that i didn’t have a problem with it.

I’m taking the exam on the 20th (first AP ever for me as I am still a sophomore). From what i’ve heard (no specific details of course), it was pretty easy.

haha well my ap euro class is pretty much ■■■■■■■■.
as soon as we opened the essay section and saw the DBQ, we all started to laugh because we had no idea what the *****r republic was, cuz we never learned that it was called that. but after we read the background section we were fine. I think the dbq was the easiest part.

I think I’m probably exaggerating the difficulty of #6 a lot (sorry), but I felt that it asked for really detailed information about ____ in both time periods. Granted, I knew absolutely nothing about ______ in the ___th century, but I would imagine that it would still be hard to write even if I knew a lot.

haha thats the one that i wrote about (#6). idk i just didnt like any of the other ones. i prob got a 3 or something, but honestly i dont care cuz i have my history core done already

I was so *ed at the essay prompts. Zero out of six matched what I studied/prepared for. I ended up doing 2 and 6, but wrote a load of generalizations and bs. Probably got a 3 and a 6. I had no *ing clue *** number 7 was about.

I liked the DBQ though, spent alot of time on that and probably got a 9. Multiple choice was cool, but I got carried away reading the cartoons because they were funny.

FRQ: 4 and 5 (2 1/2 pages each)- they weren’t too bad, I got a little bit off topic in the first one but hopefully they wont realize that. I only wrote 2 body paragraphs for the secod one so im probably screwed.

The MC wasn’t too bad, I left 2 blank and wasn’t sure on about 5 but i narrowed those down to 2 letters mostly.

The DBQ was pretty obscure and I hadn’t covered it that well when I studied :frowning: but I think I did fine showing bias in 5 docs and using 11. I think I brought in some good extra info.

Im hoping that I can get at least a solid 4 unless they screw me on the essays (who knows?)

@ Bell Curves - Same, Those weren’t too bad

@choyphin

The exam you’re taking will probably be different.

I felt that 6 was easier than 7 or 4. I was going to choose 7 but then I couldn’t even name ____'s book so I just decided to choose 6.

How many specific examples should we use to enter the higher category -_-

I did about 3.5 pages of DBQ, and 1.5 page each for FRQs. Quality over quantity, anyone?

I was very happy when I saw the Multiple Choice, it was really easy! There were a couple I left blank, one of which I don’t believe we even learned about :/

The DBQ, I felt like I understood it, but all year I’ve only been doing half-baked bias and I feel like I did it again, which probably dropped me lower than I could have done.

The FRQ. I knew next to nothing for any topic. I picked 2 and 6 and I probably scored a 2 or a 3 on both of them. Maybe even a 1 on 2. The absolute worst FRQs of my life…I hope my multiple choice/DBQ score offsets them…

Wait for number 7, did they want to see how both ____ and _____ (people) influenced _, _, and ____ (ideas)? Cuz I talked about how the first guy influenced the first two ideas and the second guy influenced the third idea… Is that okay or not?

I thought the DBQ was relatively easy—our class had recently done a practice DBQ on a very similar topic. I did essays 4 and 7—4 was difficult, but I really liked 7, as I’ve studied those two figures extensively in other classes. I didn’t like the multiple choice; some of the answers were unequivocal and the section seemed to stretch on forever.

@zzxjoanw3
I did:
1st guy how he challenged 1 and 2
2nd guy how he challenged 2 and 3

For my DBQ, I did bias in 1, 4, 8, and 9… I can’t wait to discuss these… i’ve got a lot of specific questions for you all :P

For the FRQ and DBQ, what did you put in that small box on the top of the page?
I just put 1, 2, or 3 or whatever prompt I was answersing…
But on AP central, they have like 1A-2 or something o.O

Perhaps this is a dumb question, but will I be penalized because I did FRQ B before FRQ A (so the numbering in my pink booklet goes 1 - 7 - 3)?
