@Chris @Houston Have you guys heard anything from Penn? I applied to Penn as a Russian major instead of linguistics - at Cornell I put intent to major in ling because they don’t offer a Russ. major but in all reality I’d be happy in either scenario and would take both linguistics and russian courses wherever I end up so it’s a win-win haha.

And CONGRATS James11223!!

Join the FB page transfers! Congrats on all the acceptances!

Class of 2014: https://www.facebook.com/groups/129527120459087/
Class of 2015: Can’t find? Maybe someone will make one!

Why don’t we all just do one for fall 2012, I think lily made one? I think it’d be better to have one unified group rather than keeping it separate. This way all of us transfers can know more than just the transfers in our own respective class.

@James!! You made it!!

When did everyone start receiving letters? I haven’t heard anything back yet, in CA.

Growing concerned as the schools I have been accepted to thus far require a deposit by May 1, May 9, and June 1.

Also, on the Financial Aid ToDo list, my tax statement and application (the things I had to mail in) are still listed. Though it appears my PROFILE has been taken off the list.

I did make one- just for transfer students beginning in the fall semester of 2012. I have a friend graduating in 2015, that’s why. Theres a link on here somewhere.

@alyssa I haven’t heard a word from Penn, which is good because that most likely means that I’m not missing any materials. Their decisions don’t go out for another month, and they do a pretty good job of making sure that people don’t find out before they are supposed to. I think it’s better that way, because it keeps the forum junkies at bay. lol

ACCEPTED TO CAS!!! I can’t believe it!!! So awesome!!!

Congratulations to all those who were already accepted! And for the others still waiting, don’t lose hope, guys! They’re only starting to send out notifications!

Congrats guys!!! Join the FB group!!!

Congrats everyone! Admitted CAS students - you guys should feel especially proud… CAS is supperrrrr selective for transfers.
Here’s the link for the group! https://www.facebook.com/groups/394776097221252/

Thanks EM! I couldn’t post the link from my phone : )

Congrats!!!
Can you log in the house page before you get the mail?

i am applying for CAS and math major. I feel so bad cuz I can not log into the house page.

Congrats James and DGR!

@James, I got into Chemistry/Chemical Biology as well. Did you apply to any other schools?

I got my acceptance last week on Wednesday. And I handed my mid term report in quite late. I am an int. transfer. Has anyone heard from Financial Aid yet? Please let me know

Guys, do you think the financial aid office will look at your application once the admissions accept you? Or does financial aid process all the applications?
Because, why would they waste their time on the applicants if some of them would be rejected right?
What do you guys think? How does it work?

It would make sense to me that they would process your financial aid application once you were offered admission. I could be wrong, but I definitely don’t think they would issue an award letter to someone who had yet to be accepted. Admission usually comes first, then finaid.

thats just my $0.02

My to-do list has been cleared, and now I’m waiting on an award letter. I think my finaid app was a little complicated though, because I first had to have my ‘independent status’ approved, and now they can process my app.
