@Wkdoem , similar situation for me. Terrible high school grades, took a year and a half off to work. Have a 4.0 now in Community College. Hopefully, they value this improvement as much as we do xD

hey guys. everything on my application checklist has a received date, but not everything has something written in the “status” box. Should there be something there?

@katiej423 I don’t think so. Mine’s that way too.

@katiej423 Mine’s the same way. You should be fine!

I was home schooled because my parents refused to let me go to “regular” school, so I went to community to college so I could have a real transcript and such. I have a 4.0, completed an honors program, participated in honors conferences where I won two awards, and started a classical music club and was an officer in two different honors societies. My biggest weakness was that I never took the SATs, but they said that since I didn’t have to for high school or community college they will waive the requirement.

Brown does not track Midyear report right?

Hi guys, I applied Brown University and was able to see my nine-digit BRU ID. I believe everyone can see that right?

I wish we didn’t have to wait until mid May.

Me too, Sid. Then again, I’ve gotten several rejections so far, so maybe I should just be glad there’s still hope and my dreams haven’t been crushed. >:D<

This year’s thread seems rather chill…lol

A quick reminder that the # of posts on CC does not correlate with your chances of getting in. Honestly, I am not trying to be a ■■■■■. I got into Columbia last year, and just got into Cornell CAS. I stayed at Northwestern because the social connections were too strong. The only reason I am applying again is because of family health issues. My advice is to stay off of these threads. They make you go crazy. At the end of the day they mean nothing. I am not going to call anyone out, but for example one person that I saw dominated the Cornell thread and acted like they were getting in, only to get rejected. There is no formula to acceptance. I do not mean to sound like a dick, I am just giving my two cents while being brutally honest. Having said that, I hope you guys all do well and end up somewhere where you can be happy.

Good lucks guys!

@Austin941029 damn i just got an email from brown saying that it’s still missing my mid-term report, i thought junior transfers don’t need to submit it??

Did you guys get the decision button in your Brown Portal?

@MYOMOO no but the layout of the site has changed for me

@MYOMOO: If it’s the one that brings you to a page that says that decisions aren’t available yet, then yes.

Same here. That button has been on mine for like 6 weeks. :(

@PaintTheSilence My financial aid missing document disappeared (I did not submit CSS Profile)… i am pretty sure I got rejected…

@MYOMOO, I wouldn’t conclude that just yet. There’s still a ways to go in all of this. The fat lady hasn’t sung yet!

guys I really wouldn’t overthink these “signs”-there are people worrying about them every year and I am pretty sure that if Brown wants you they will take you, but they will not be implying anything to you during such a late stage just before the decisions come out-so just sit tight and work on your finals or try to enjoy your vacation.

From Brown Admission’s website:

“Transfer decisions will be available online before May 15th. You will be notified via email when your decision is available. Please make sure you can successfully log in to selfservice.brown.edu before then.”

So within the next 2 weeks guys! :)>-
