Official Fall 2014 Decisions Thread

That’s reassuring @LonghornNation . It’s Sunday now, isn’t it? The time difference between here and Seattle is huge so idk lol. But it’s Sunday 9:50 Am here. No activity on Sunday I presume.

@YammyNug in-state accepted about 6 hrs ago…it is just a gold envelope with a letter saying I got accepted. The welcome packet comes soon after

do the letters tell u if u got ur major?

@NinRash you’re so calm right now. Yesterday you were all over this thread!

Not in the mail no. It’s 11:30pm where I’m at It’s like 9:30 in seattle lol

Check this out. When I go to the unofficial transcripts page, above that its got at least 10 more links like : registration, tuition statement, etc why would they let me get access to this!?

Oh wow! I have no idea but it has to be a good sign!

UW…Y U NO POST DECISIONS?

Thx @NinRash Congrats!

excuse me. can someone please explain this whole unofficial transcript trick? :(

The consensus is that if your unofficial transcript page is available ( ie it does not show “page cannot be displayed” ) then it might be a sign of early acceptance

Soooo I apologize for deviating from the main topic of this thread but I have two questions. Any info would be helpful.

Approximately when do welcome packages come?

Is there a rough estimation of when Freshman Direct notices may arrive?

@puckerfence,

If you are accepted you will receive a packet in the mail at a later date indicating your major.

To everyone else,

Decisions were just mailed recently. In-state students will receive soon. Others, especially those on the east coast may have to wait until sometime next week before receiving their letters. Also not all have been mailed out. According to their website, decisions will be mailed from the 15th through the 31st.

@lyndak,

Are you referencing CS/E? If so I am also waiting on that decision. I checked the CS/E FAQ and it appears that if you are accepted, your major on the welcome packet will be either CS or CE. If you were not accepted to that program you will receive a pre-major.

@KosherBacon,

No, I applied as an intended Business Administration major. :frowning: It says on Foster’s website that all notifications will be sent via email. Does this mean that I will still not know when my welcome packet comes? I really want to know because it’ll play a huge factor into whether I’ll ultimately go to UW or not.

I hope you get into CS/E Freshman Direct!

I’m an international student and I’m also curious about this unofficial transcript trick.Mine is loaded,does it mean anything?

@lyndak even I applied under business administration! But I’ve been given a pre major in my unofficial transcript :(

@KosherBacon any news about how international students are notified?

@Rusty34 I’ve emailed the admission office and I got this as a reply.

“Yes, we mail every student a letter with the decision. In addition, international students who address is outside of the US will receive an email. We expect the emails to go out sometime next week, but we do make decisions during a 2 week period from March 15-31.”

Does anyone know whether the unofficial transcript trick can be trusted? By the looks of it, only international students transcripts can be loaded and I doubt that all international students will be admitted :expressionless:
I am an international student, and I’m feeling a little suspicious :frowning:

Do international student get notified by email ? I’m one and I got my address changed , but I think UW would still send any letter to my previous address as I only changed it like 2 days before and it takes time for them to process it… I’m so worried about not getting the letter.

@cherrybombb yes, international students will be notified by letters and also email. The emails will go out sometime next week. Good luck :smiley:
