feeling pretty bummed
looked at the last two years and it looks like there is a pretty common trend with the college of human ec there are two waves of acceptances, first week of April- around the 7th and then second week around the 14th and 15th
after that everyone who posted got rejected (around the end of the month)

I am hope that this year it is not the same
most likely will be,
how are the other human ec applicants feeling?

@ansci412 I know what you mean me too, wish they could accept all of us

Does anyone know when the school of hotel admin usually gives out acceptence letters ???

@UofU2014Cornell, My application portal has stayed the same. I believe they assign a PIN and password for you decision and it’s through a different website (I received a letter, but no email as of yet). I started poking around, and was able to log into a checklist-type website for new students using my app-id, though. That’s all I’ve seen so far.

@PaintTheSilence Thanks! could you please also share your college/ HS GPA, and did you take SAT?

The only thing that calms me is that no other non-GT AEM applicants have heard back yet

In response to an email I sent to CALS Admissions asking about when decisions would be released: “At this point decisions have begun being released and will continue to be released through the middle of June.”

Received this today (4/14), my guess is some decisions will come out tomorrow or Wednesday.

@PaintTheSilence Thanks could you please let me know your College/HS GPA? and did you take SAT?

Again Congrat!!! Envy you!!!

@william95
i hope this is true… the waiting game is just painful :(

Only thing that concerns me about that email is that the admissions counselor stated that decisions “will continue to be released through the middle of June.” If that’s true, then some of us might be waiting a long time for our decisions. That would not be a great situation, as the deadline to reserve a spot for other schools will probably come much earlier than that.

Here is the weird thing: the reply deadline for Cornell is Jun 1 (If I remember correctly)

@MDog795 They asked if I had a reason for an expedited decision (I don’t so I told them I didn’t need one) so I would assume that you can ask for one if you have another school who has a reply deadline coming up.

What school/major are you applying for?

@wellletshope on the letter i received today, the reply deadline was 30 days or Jun 1st which ever happened first

and congrats @PaintTheSilence quite the coincidence!!

@cjburton23! Thanks! It is a coincidence indeed. Are you definitely attending?

@UofU2014Cornell, if you go back a page or two, I posted my stats a few days ago. :)

@cjburton23 @PaintTheSilence did you guys receive emails in regard to your official acceptance? if so, when? :)

@CHEhopeful. Nope. I received a call last week and a letter today. No emails so far.

Huh. It said on the Application Self-Service System “We will contact fall transfer applicants by email with instructions for viewing their decisions online when their decision is available.” Now I just feel silly that my heart skips a beat every time there’s an email notification on my phone lol…Maybe there’s hope that a letter will come in the mail before an email? =p This wait is SO HARD!

@PaintTheSilence it all depends on the financial aid… its just so hard to turn down Cornell!! How about you?
@CHEhopeful I have no idea why we weren’t notified by email before we received the letter in the mail… maybe because we were contacted by the college of human ecology for switching my major from sociology to human development that may have had something to do with it, I’m not sure

Dear Cornell,
Please let me know if I am accepted/rejected as soon as possible,
so I can forget about it and move on with my life. Thank you!
to be frank… i can’t focus on my school work seriously.

hopefully, tomorrow will have some accepted applicants
