What’s up guys. I doubt many of us are happy to be in the wait-list haha. I’m keeping hope though…

Inducted into Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society.

HS - (This isn’t all of them, just the ones I put on the application) Captain of Varsity Swim, came first in my conference’s heat. Student Director - Certified in Final Cut Pro X, 100 hours of instructing others in FCP X, filmed my school’s commercial for WRAL.

I also had a recommendation from the dean of the business school at Campbell, as well as from the Dean of the biology department. However, Carolina never downloaded them… I wrote a pretty stellar essay that highlighted the exact reasons why Carolina was the best choice for me. I also come from an international background, only moving to the USA around 3 and half years ago from Europe, so I was able to explain away my poor sophomore HS grades and I was also able to show how I improved greatly my junior and senior year (Straights A’s except for one B). I also speak two other languages.

I’m going to be real. I don’t know why I, or the other people in this thread got waitlisted. Anyway… I’m on track to get a 4.0 again this semester, at worst a 3.82. Which would average me out to a 3.91. I just wish I knew now!

@SimonK Yeah I kind of thought the same…but no where is like UNC! I so badly want to go, it’s become to be a dream of mine at this point haha. Doesn’t seem to be that many people on the wait list though.

@UNCTransfer2014 Well, let’s hope for the best. In the 2013 wait list thread there were only like 4 people who said they had been accepted. Albeit there weren’t that many active members in the thread in the first place, but still.

I do not know because I already know three people who have just decline their offer. I am know looking for more and more of these people and persuade them to decline. lol

@Simonk Honestly I wouldn’t be worried about that. Most of the wait list threads were pretty inactive, and the stats for the people who didn’t hear back were lower than ours…I’m pretty sure haha. Honestly at this moment I’m just trying to get through exams and not stress out about how there is going to be absolutely no classes for us to take by the time we register…

@UNCTransfer2014 Yeah, I guess we can hope for the best. I’m just kinda annoyed that by the time we will be informed (probably around mid-may) most of the classes will have already been filled… :/

@Simonk Thank you! I have always been waiting for UNC, it is kind of heartbreaking when I saw the WL result, UNC is my dream school, let us wait together! Good luck to every one!

Hellllooo… Pleased to join all of you over here! I mean, I was expecting a flat out rejection, this is better, I suppose? lol
Now… How do we wait this out until May/June?!

Hey, guys. I’ve been reading the UNC Transfer 2014 thread and the students who were accepted say that it’s been hard to register because there are so few spaces left in the classes they need to take. I asked admissions whether people from the wait-list (if accepted) would be able to register for the necessary classes, since we’re on a strict timeline to graduate, and all they said was that advisers would be there to help. I’m not sure whether I even want to go anymore if I were to be accepted simply because as a biology major, I still have advanced science courses I really need to take next year, especially because I have to take the MCAT next year, too. I really love UNC and what it stands for; when I visited campus, I felt like it was the perfect fit for me. What do you guys think? Think it’ll be worth it to take the risk of waiting?
