I have only applied to one other school and still don’t have a decision! I’m already taking summer classes there, though, so I’m guessing I’ll be able to transition into the fall. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that some spaces open up in Chapel Hill, though. I’m applying as a sophomore but after the fall semester, I’ll be a junior.

Gotcha. I’m also applying as a sophomore. The only other school I applied to was NC State, which I was accepted to. However, I’m majoring in social sciences and I know Chapel Hill will definitely be better for that. Not to mention, I’m head over heels (no pun intended) for the school.

Has everyone seen the new admissions blog post?? :(

Just saw it. Heartbreaking.

So is that pretty much a 0% chance of being accepted or is there some glimmer of hope?

I would say there’s a very very very very very very very slim chance of them accepting anyone. I would say it would be lucky if they did five.

I have give my last hope end up in a cold weather school in the north.
Poor me! Why UNC hate me so much when I love UNC so much!

This is so stressful. Thank goodness I got accepted to the other school to which I applied! Admissions seems 90% sure that they don’t have space left in the transfer class…

It just seems to me like they could at least make space for five students or something. I don’t feel like that’s too much to ask.

I have already withdrawn from the wait list cause I can not wait later than May 31st, because the off campus housing in University of Michigan is almost full and the orientation is approaching, It seems UNC do not like first year generation student or gay student. I though they like student who is color first generation student and gay , but they don’t. Because they only want 4.0 GPA, I only have 3.761. I think they just do not like me. So I withdraw. I don’t think University of Michigan is in anyway less perfect than UNC. I think I should love school who accept who I am not to wait for a school who is still judging me!

@szjoeosu You were wait-listed, not denied; you’re clearly someone who UNC would want to admit. Your GPA is awesome and rest assured they’re not discriminating against you. There’s just not enough room in the class for the 327 of us that they put on hold Good for you for getting into UM and accepting their offer; that’s a great school! Best of luck! And @UNC14Transfer I agree! Fingers crossed!

I can’t even begin to explain how much I want this haha.

@szjoeosu Dude…We were all wait listed. They aren’t discriminating, there’s a reason why UNC is known as the most diverse campus and the most accepting. You weren’t accepted, they aren’t hating on you. They’re not judging you, you just didn’t make the cut. A lot of us here have 4.0’s and wait listed…plus you shouldn’t just be accepted because you’re gay and a different race dude, just my two cents.

I’m content with staying at my current University now, so it’s all good for me. Would still be nice to get in…

I really hope they find some room and we all get in! Judging the other comments made on the blog post, though, eek… it’s really not looking good. On a side note, it’s kind of funny looking through this feed and seeing the three of our names: TransferUNC2014, UNC14Transfer, UNCTransfer2014. Haha!

@transferUNC2014 Haha I was thinking the same thing!

I noticed that… I’ll be honest, I get y’all mixed up sometimes. lol

I’m now hesitantly applying to my back-up schools. hnnngg…

I got my decision today… Rejected. :(

I got rejected today too.

Rejected :(

No surprise here… Rejected :(
