@SimpleBio I recommend reading a bit in your free time. no guarantee of proof that it helps but it can’t hurt, and I think the reason I do pretty well on CR is my background of reading a lot
@Nutmmeg I wish. To be honest I don’t think my UW GPA is above even 3.6, I really fucked up. Also I don’t think my ECs are too strong yet but I guess I have time to improve them.
@SimpleBio study Greek and Latin roots
@Nutmmeg Any books or anything specific you used?
@solaireofastora im kind of the same way i screwed around freshman and sophomore year and i’ve been trying to make up for it Junior year- I had like a high 3.6 UW and a 4.0 W after sophomore year and if i keep up where I am right now I can finish with a 3.8 and 4.2
@SimpleBio for sophomore English class we used Amsco’s Vocabulary for the College Bound Student which was exercises for each greek and latin roots, prefixes, and suffixes
@Nutmmeg ive been trying to fix mine this year too but AP Physics is absolutely killing me
C+ first mp C- second
hopefully I can get up to at least a b final average in that stupid class
Can someone go over the 115 one on math, something about multiples of 7 and 5? I forgot…
@solaireofastora Same here!! I have no hope. I am in Ap Phys, Bio, and Gov. I’m doing fine in all of my classes except for Physics and it sucks so bad! We’re on circular motion right now and I have a quiz on Monday. Are you in 1 or 2?
@9penn9 It says that there are 3 sets: Set A which includes multiples of 5 and Set B which includes multiples of 7- It also includes set C which contains all values which are elements of both set A and B (essentially all numbers that are multiples of both 5 and 7). The question asks which of the answer choices is not an element of set C (the answer is 115 because it is divisible by 5 but not 7)
@SimpleBio AP Physics 1. Its such BS, no matter if I go into a quiz/test confident or nervous out of my mind, I come out with a c and sometimes even d
my highest grade in that class besides homework was an 86 -_-
circular motion quiz I had was fairly easy in my opinion but because of mistakes I made which my teacher grades very harshly and two problems I got wrong I ended up with a 66 -_-
fml
@solaireofastora my phys teacher is ridiculous too- she takes like half off for improper sig figs
@solaireofastora Any videos you recommend for circular motion? So many on the topic and can’t find any specific to the type of problems I’m seeing, usually just rollercoaster ones and such lol.
@Nutmmeg please help me!!
@simplebio Watch Walter Lewin’s lectures from MIT opencourseware
@Nutmmeg mine isn’t any better
rounding decimals wrong is 1/2 a point off for example
even the smartest kids who are in Calc AB this year (junior) haven’t gotten A+s on any assessment yet
this class was the worst decision Ive ever made, not to mention were wayyy off track for the AP test, he even admitted himself that its likely well have to do a lot of self studying if we want to take it
ive never been so stressed about a class in my life :’(
@SimpleBio I don’t watch any vids because the ones ive found teach it a different way and if its not the way he thought it he takes points off, so sorry
@Nutmmeg just googled that, they took it down
anyone have a download link or a working page?
@solaireofastora Dude this is exactly how I feel. I thought I was the only one. Literally would do anything right now to take this class back. And my teacher is the same way, we are so behind compared to other schools.
the worst part is that at my school physics is the easiest science course (save for maybe enviro)
