yes SAT100, applied to MSB like i mentioned. he said after a lot of stumbling and hesitation “at this point it is look really unlikely, but i can’t give you an official decision, your official decision will come by mail by June 1st”

^Ah, okay! Well, you were accepted to UVA, so I doubt you will have any trouble breaking into IB. I was really shocked that I was waitlisted there, but I am trying to best to get off of it. Would really love to attend UVA, even though I am not that big on the greek scene.

@Toofast, 3.8 from a top 40 univ and still a reject? oh man, i’m losing hope, I only have a 3.7 from a community college…

Yes…Got my admission letter on Wednesday

To which school?

any MSB transfer applicants who had noticed missing materials get their acceptance letter ??

^Stop getting paranoid. Missing materials can’t affect decisions.

Still nothing from SFS applicants? I already checked the mail today…and nothing.

@transferAP

same here man.

@transferAP nothing for me either

Hmm…either we all suck or SFS is really slow this year. I’m going with the slow theory myself!

I wouldn’t worry about SFS admissions… yet. On average, COL and MSB have the most applicants so the admissions office is going through them first. IIRC, about 40 transfer students matriculate to SFS every year. Believe it or not, there aren’t that many applicants to SFS, usually around 250.

@SFS Rules

I see. But the fact that only 4 out of every 25 applied are accepted comes to me as pretty daunting :/

The acceptance rate is a little higher.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen the transfer numbers. I can’t remember if the 40 were admit numbers or the matriculant number. In either case, the admit rate is usually higher than 16%, IIRC around 20%. Not very heart warming, but 1 of 5 is better than 1 of 6. :)

At the same time that’s why we all applied to elite schools - because they can’t/don’t let everyone in - with the hope of making ourselves more marketable when we leave college and getting the best available education out there.

@SFS Rules but no one has gotten any decisions from the College yet, right?

SFS rules!

@lumberjack

It does

@trickery

Yes, Mwakicha and several other have received acceptance letters to the College. His/Her letter came on Wednesday and he/she lives in Chicago. It was in previous posts…

I was accepted to SFS on Friday
