***Official Georgia Tech Class of 2019 EA Applicant Thread***

DS got admitted! 2250 SAT, 3.94 uw gpa.

To those that got deferred, try not to worry, you still may get in. My understanding about EA deferrals is that they basically think you are a great candidate, they are just waiting to compare you with the RD pool to make sure there is a spot for you.

Accepted for aerospace engineering!

UW GPA: 3.4
W GPA: 4.14

Great extracurriculars, without a doubt, and I was by my counselor that my recommendation letters were some of the best she’s ever seen.
Also, I wrote (in my opinion) amazing essays! Congratulations to everybody else who was accepted!

Those who are accepted - is your preferred major in the acceptance letter? My daughter is accepted but her choice of major (CS) is not there anywhere.

@cmd7131‌ I’m CS too and it was not mentioned.

Ga Tech admits you to the university. If you’re in your in. No worry about also getting into a major. So whatever you put down is what they’ll plan for.

@univin2015, thanks.

How difficult is it to change majors after being accepted to the university? Accepted to CS, but I want to switch to
Industrial Engineering.

@darktoform31‌ I emailed them this concern. They said you can change it on Buzzport before the fall or during the academic year.

@DaedricSaiyan‌ So you are guaranteed to get into your major change once you change it on buzzport?

Were you out of state or in state??

Do you guys know how hard it is to add a second major if it’s possible?

Are all these weighted gpas out of 6.0?

@FutureOilBaron‌ 5.0
unweighted is 4.0

@Noogler‌ my school does unweighted out of 4.0 and weighted out of 6.0

Accepted!

35 ACT
GPA:4.0
10 APs 9th-11th
OOS

YASSSSS!!!

@darktoform31‌ I’m not speaking for the school, but my guess is, if you get in, they make the necessary preparations to cater your schedule towards your major. If you’re already in the school, i don’t see why you wouldn’t get into your intended major. Maybe class sizes or something comes into play, I’m not completely sure.

Does the scholarship decision come at the same time as admission decision?
