They probably laugh everytime they get a call like that. I wouldn’t be surprised if their was a tally sheet with bets placed on the # of calls by friday! Hahahha

There** D:

What makes everybody think decisions are coming out Friday?

Last year they came out on the equivalent Friday.

Oh okay thanks!

Where is last years thread? Were they saying the same thing… “late march” to the people who called the week they came out last year?

hey guys! for early questions on how the campus is…it’s really nice, very urban though. I visited over the summer and it was kinda cloudy but still good for walking around. It’s super close to some huge pretty park(i have no idea what the name of it is) and a lot of the embassies. Lots of statues and stuff too. I’m applying for history and have 4.04 weighted GPA w/ 29 ACT. Good luck to everyone!! I really hope decisions come out friday!!!

Thanks! I really love the campus, especially the location. Living in DC would be so awesome, I get excited just thinking about it.

If you visit, do they keep a record and does it help your application? I went in January and they had me fill out a little card.

“we are not at liberty to disclose this information overthe phone” the response to my first call to admissions.

In my second call I asked if March 22nd would be considered late march… The response? “possibly, you should be looking for an email soon.”

Guys!!! I think this means Friday!!!

-.-I’m scared. My transcript still hasn’t been received according to their website. What do I do??

@kdavs call! immediately…

ur application might not be considered

Does anyone else have a new admissions events link on their GW Admissions Activity Center homepage? Underneath, it says “Colonial Welcome Days for Admitted Students.”

@ccuser36 I’m too nervous to even check!

nvm i checked, i have it too.

personally, I don’t think it means anything. I haven’t checked but a lot of my other schools do that too…

I checked last year’s Regular Decision thread and someone who was waitlisted had the link too, don’t get your hopes up!

I will definitely call tomorrow. My school is terrible. -.-

I can’t imagine what it would feel like to think you got in and then didn’t >< sometimes computers just don’t work right or there’s a small problem in the code (as I learned in computer science class this year). Anyway, you all seem like great applicants and I wih you luck!

I applied RD too:
GPA 3.95 (my HS doesn’t rank, but my counselor estimated at least top 10% in a class of 452)
SAT: 2050
ACT: 30

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!

Hey Guys! I applied to the honors college, and was wondering if you guys have any stats on it, and whether or not any of you applied? Btw, my weighted GPA is 4.41, my UW is 3.96. I’m 19/381 in my class, and I got a 2110 on the SAT

^I applied! From what I’ve heard, there are special courses and activities for Honors students (including a required curriculum) but no Honors housing. I also looked up some of the courses on the course schedule and IIRC it looked like a lot of the courses (maybe all) were on the Mount Vernon campus.

It seems like GW doesn’t have the concentration of top students into honors that a lot of other big universities have. They have a lot of other special programs that honors students can’t be in so I think they might weaken the honors program, although that’s just a guess.

Good news, I also read in a different thread (can’t remember which) that the vast majority of honors students get merit aid!
