I am sure. positively, absolutely sure. This is one of those people that doesn't ever lie. Naviance is changed to (enrolled), saw our GC congratulating her and everything. She is an amazing, amazing applicant from SC, an underrepresented state where I know of at least one guy and one girl who gave up H.

CNI,

I wouldn't give up yet, you never know, but I'll have to admit once we had heard that a student at my son's school had gotten in RD we kind of knew that at best my son would be waitlisted. Harvard just doesn't usually take more than one from our school.

With her stats I'm kind of surprised they even waitlisted her.

Duke's a great school!

guess what I'll be saying pretty soon...
the old "well, there's alway grad school."

It's kind of strange though, because Harvard has historically taken two people from my school every single year. This year they took no one and I'm the only person they even waitlisted. I heard somewhere it was because someone from our school who went to Harvard is currently on academic probation, but I can't imagine them keeping track of these things.

I'm in south FL. Nearby high schools got several kids in each. Chances are that I'm not needed to even out geographic distribution :

But congrats xd32! And thanks for sharing with us :] Just wondering, what region do you live in?

FYI, my son was called this afternoon. They admitted him.

nicely done xd32!
thanx 4 verifying that ppl have been taken of the waitlist, as others have posted previously about friends who were not members of this forum who were taken off the waitlist. your adrenaline rush must be at full throttle!!
enjoy this moment in time!

so that's 3 confirmed acceptances?

1nkbl0tch, may I ask you what school you go to?

hey 1nkbl0tch, I live in Virginia. One person from my school was admitted regular, and 2 waitlisted. I don't know if the other person got a call yet though.

it appears that H is lacking on southerners

xd32, what school will you be turning down for Harvard (if you decide to go there)

congratulations Haberdash!

So I got the call from Harvard today. They told me that I had been offered a spot on the wait list and that I was going to be accepted. I didn't really submit any extra info though. I am an athlete so I'm pretty sure that the coach may have had some pull getting me off the waitlist. Long story short I declined their offer. So hopefully one of you guys will be called next :-D.

@VanillaExtract, may I know for what reason? I would rather not say my school as I will be extremely easily identified :]

@gadli, just wondering, what makes you think that? I really wish that were the case but it doesn't feel like it around here at all.

Thank you xd32! Congrats to everyone who got in!

Hey AKYBAKY..How does it feel to be a big shot!!

umm good ;-) lol

LOL Congratulatons! (And thanks for making room)

hey sup, I'll be turning down cornell.

So how many more open spots do you guys think there are after today? Better yet, does any one have any estimate of how many offers will be sent on average per day?

Congratulations to you too, xd32! Just curious. Did you have a "hook"? Sports? Music?
