<p>i'm from NYC and I haven't heard anything yet, neither has anyone I know who's on the waitlist. However, earlier in this thread someone from nyc was contacted rather early (i think the name's akybaky?) but he declined their offer.</p>

<p>I have been one of those lurkers on this sight for a couple of weeks now. Believe me, I feel your pain. My D was at the point that she just wanted to withdraw her app and commit to Notre Dame. I just wanted to let the Long Islanders know that she did get a call on Wednesday at about 5:30 and was offered a spot in the class of 2012. The admission officer called her cell phone.<br>
He didn't offer much info and told her to expect a packet in the mail on Tuesday.</p>
<p>My classmate (SC) was admitted this past monday, so yes, people from the southeast have been contacted.</p>
<p>congratulations to everyone admitted so far! now this is more like it, people are actually hearing news...good news. any NJ people hear anything yet? i hope they haven't completely finished w/ mid-Atlantic states yet, unless NJ is being done separately from NY and PA? perhaps they're not doing this by region at all...hopefully they'll be working saturdays too, i'd really like to know something really soon (good or bad, preferably good) so I can move on already!!!!!</p>

<p>I just got off the waitlist for Georgetown, and now I'm waiting to hear back from Harvard and Columbia. I already accepted Georgetown's offer and I really want to end the waiting period, but Harvard's been my dream college for soo long. Ahh I just want to hear an answer of yes or no REALLY soon.</p>
