If my Regional Rep is away from office due to a University tour... does that mean my person has already reviewed candidates and is done, or hasn't even started yet... I don't know what to think...

i'm not counting out what harvard said about the rolling process until june. i just don't know how "rolling" it will be. it could be that harvard already contacted 100 or so, then maybe will contact 50 more this week, then slowly lessen the waves until they fill their class. in other words, it may not be completely even, in fact it probably won't be. and about the rejections, i don't know if they're sending those out in waves too, or if they will save that for the end of the entire process. if they're not done looking at the waitlist, i think it's unfair to send out rejections to only SOME of the candidates. it may as well be equal for all the rjeected people. but hey, harvard will do what harvard wants to do

For anyone interested, here is an updated CC wl.
My apologies for any errors or anyone unrepresented. Feel free to give a shout out or make appropriate updates.
Good Luck to everyone!

i'm wondering about Harvard's financial aid. did anyone get offers from princeton and harvard? and how did their financial aid packages compare?

perpetualmotion: i saw your comment on the "where did you commit while waiting for harv" thread about stanford > harvard - does that mean you're declining harvard's offer?

Concerning the if they really did call everyone they wanted from waitlist...I wonder if they are, like Yale, will be taking about 40+ people this week and more next week...

well, if i feel up to it, maybe i'll give harvard a call tomorrow after school to see what's up. i doubt they'll give me a definitive answer, but maybe they'll be able to hint at whether or not the first round is complete?? i actually got a call from my admissions counselor about a week ago in response to one of my e-mails. i had simply requested for the contact info for my regional admissions counselor, and she was nice enough to call me in person. however, she had to leave a message and when i called i had to leave a message as well. i told her i had sent a letter and i reaffirmed my interest in harvard. i also asked if she could call again or e-mail verifying whether or not she received my letter. i haven't gotten ANY repsonse since....so i don't really know what to make of this. i don't know if i should call her again (she left me her office number), cuz I don't want to come across as a nagger.... i'd just like to know something soon!

Massachusetts people? Anyone? I know you're out there...still nobody from my school has heard, though a friend from another was accepted Thursday.

OMG Matador360, I'm in the exact same situation as you are! Except I'm still in the first calling round. He called me, left message. I just called him back, leaving another message! I had such high hopes! I really hope it's good news.

icypineapple- did he call you in response to some e-mail of yours? or was it him taking the first step to contacting you? it sounds like it could be good news if he just called without you contacting him first...

Good luck tomorrow, everybody.
Maybe we'll get some information/updates??
I think I'm going to call the admissions office tomorrow and get a sense of whether the first round of acceptances is finished or still going.
