^^I’m in the same situation as tennisdc, only they have not called me yet to say that I’m missing any documents. Perhaps, it’s just a glitch in the system?

I have the very ambivalent feeling that I have to be busy somehow, yet at the same time I want to relax because the whole process is behind me. I compromised by keeping on googling all my colleges and scouring CC for snippets of information, which leaves me feeling very nervous (I know, not the smartest thing to do). Is anyone feeling the same?

At this point I would suggest calling them to find out what they are missing.

I just got a LL, anyone else???

Seriously? Congrats! Are you an athlete or academically outstanding? (Or do you not have a clue why you received an LL :))

A Likely Letter already? More details please. Anyway, I’ve been contacted for an interview. Any advice?

I had my Harvard interview already. Most of it will be about you, your courses, clubs, personal interests, life goals, etc. Make sure you know why you want to go to Harvard specifically as there are several great universities out there that have spectacular academic programs. I would do a mock interview for practice but I do not recommend memorizing answers to everything. Just make sure you know yourself inside out and speak naturally with your interviewer. Mine was a pretty cool conversation at times when we went off into tangents and talked more naturally about ourselves at times. Just act naturally.

My friend’s friend got a call yesterday regarding a LL and it came in the mail today. I guess they are starting to be sent.

Yeah, I got a call yesterday and the letter came today. I had my interview on Saturday so I don’t know if it went into my file before the decision was made as the letter was dated Monday Jan 23. I am not a recruited athlete and I don’t think I am what you would call academically outstanding (no major or national/international awards). This sounds silly but I guess maybe my personality? I think my essays and supporting documents were all very honest and probably consistent with each other. I am so happy!

Also about interviews- really just be yourself and be comfortable.

According to previous posts, a minority with 2300 SAT scores. Nearly all athletic likelies have already been sent, and there are generally very few academic letters.

Uncanny, snipersas, I got 2300 on the SAT.

what? .

I’m an URM who got 2300 :P

so you were on target I guess?

I know - I looked at the decision thread, and that explains the letter. I don’t understand your point?

Hahaha, I meant I was surprised that you came up with a reason that seemed to apply so perfectly to me. I’m not on CC very much so even though you’d said you were inferring based on previous threads, I was impressed by your answer (which to me appeared to be out of nowhere but something like magical mind reading or psychic powers since I don’t know much about LLs and haven’t read the decisions threads!)

Well I’m probably not making sense but I guess it boils down to the fact that I said I got a LL and wasn’t sure why, and you suggested that they were going out to minorities with a 2300 SAT I, and I’m a minority who got a 2300 on the SAT- I’m easily impressed by coincidences :P

Aah, I see. Regardless, congrats!

Congrats! Do you think you’ll matriculate come time?

Thanks guys! And I’m not sure, it’s gonna be a tough choice between Harvard and another school, but I can tell you that I’m 100 % certain I want to and will be in Cambridge next fall :)

Regardless of the decision you make, at least you know that Harvard WANTS you. As for me, should I be accepted, the decision would be transparent.
