Jaysha, same feelings. on everrrrything. I just noticed that I’ll be sitting in my organic chem class at 5:00PM when the results come out…awesome. Thank god for internet on my phone, haha

Good luck on your interview! Mine’s on next Wednesday. I’m really excited, but I feel like the pressure is going to mess me up :(

Hey guys I posted a while back about letters of recommendation not received on the status page. Well now I just got an email telling me my application is incomplete. I sent my letters in mid-October and have receipts for both. The emails, which came past their office hours, states that I have to get it in by Thursday. Has this happened to anyone else? Plus they say we need to fax the letters. One of my teachers has no access to a fax, and I cant fax it from my house so…

@strat why can’t they send it via common app? This is the official way. There really isn’t an excuse not to. Also your school probably does have a fax, I’ve never heard of one that didn’t.

I instead think that this period is very exciting as you can let your imagination and dreams go wild due to uncertainty. Whatever decision comes on Dec 15, you will evolve in a more certain world. It is like longing for a girl: the moment you start dating her, things are different ;)

I’m guessing we don’t need anything of the sort, but this date of last year marked the beginning of the “Countdown to December 15” thread. Time is flying, isn’t it?

strat94: Just saw a similar case on this forum, and here’s my suggestion. Good luck!

“Your teacher or guidance counselor must resubmit the form by faxing a duplicate copy to the above numbers. Please have duplicate copies of the originals sent promptly to the attention of Ian Anderson, by Thursday, November 10, 2011.”

The instruction is very clear. Show it to your counselor/teacher(s) and request a resubmission immediately. Meanwhile, you may scan your DHL tracking record and fax it to H, just for the record. However, the required resubmission is the only thing you can do now to help yourself. H (or any other school) will NOT be able to process an incomplete application.

Thank you to everyone. I spent all of my time in between periods today calling and I managed to get everything done. It was crazy but well worth it to make sure my application is complete.

What time do decision letters come out on the 15th? Anyone know what time rejected applicants lose access to the page with the Harvard passcode? That doesn’t happen to deferred applicants, right?

I just realized I will have a heart attack of nervousness if I keep reading this thread. So I’m just going to try and focus on my other college apps and school and stuff for now, and will be a complete wreck on Dec 15.

@strat that is hard to believe. I’m not accusing you of anything, but if you want to know what happens to fraud applications, google Adam Wheeler.

Also, it takes several hours for all emails to send, and the acceptances are NOT mailed first, so don’t freak because you’ll probably get the email past 7p EST! :)

so harvard says “Most applications are read by two or more members of the Admissions Committee, and are considered very carefully in a series of committee meetings where a majority vote is required for admission.” on its website. are fate may be left up to a tie-breaker. lol.
