Here’s my philosophy: If Harvard wants me badly enough, they will accept me even in spite of the fact that I have two lousy SAT IIs. If they don’t want me, there’s nothing I could have done about it. I have a feeling a decision was already made on my file, because I was unable to participate in an interview due to being out of the country. The last thing my interviewer said to me was that another admissions officer would contact me (presumably to arrange an interview in the country I’m in now?), and that was it. I haven’t heard from anyone in weeks, and then the international office told me that international interviews are only arranged when admissions “requires more information about an applicant”. So I guess that means they have enough information about me to make a decision - I’m probably one of those people who were either outright accepted or outright rejected (most likely the latter).

@ Jaysha: The same thing applies to you. If Harvard wants you badly enough, they will accept you even in spite of the fact that your SAT IIs are slightly lower relative to the average. So don’t lose hope yet - it’s not over until it’s over. :)

Sebelius - you are an obvious out and out lier. Don’t slam the greatest academic institution in the world, especially due to your immaturity. Get accepted and actually know students before you even consider making judgements.

Sorry, like SheepGetKilled said, I was trying to imply that they take really demanding schedules. I meant no offence to anyone, was not suggesting anything, and definitely would not insult the school that I applied SCEA to…

229 or 240. At my school everyone with a 4.0 weighted or above is technically a valedictorian… so I don’t know how that works. I’m just assuming a 36 = 800s all around for this. Haha, what’s the average Harvard, Asian, non-supergenius, admit AI I wonder…

I got a 234 but it probably helped a lot that my county doesn’t rank. In that case, any GPA of 4.3 or above gives you the same benefit as first in your class. (Although arguably I would hold that spot anyway if we did rank )
