Well, I think my interview went well, so hopefully thats a plus

1987Crimson - If we never received an interview, does that mean that we are at a disadvantage in terms of the personality rating? Or do adcoms take into account only the essay and teacher recs for applicants without an interview?

can the specific major you indicate downgrade/improve your chances in any way?

@flyingtomato lifeisbeatiful and i are hoping that women engineers get a little boost here.

@power, I don’t think that would be a problem at all. @ysquared, I don’t think you should worry about not being interviewed. It happens a lot. As been discussed on these boards, the alum interviews are a teeny tiny part of the application and for almost everyone, it won’t help much and it won’t hurt much. Just my opinion.

Here’s the Princeton applicant distribution data: [Number of Students in the Class of 2015 by Geographic Region](http://www.princeton.edu/admission/applyingforadmission/admission_statistics/map.htm)

@1987Crimson, thank you for being so helpful, as usual! :)

2 from my state… Great -_-

At least the A.I. is on target :/

155 from my state. alas, our population is the largest. hopefully the proportion is the same.

LordAsia, that means your state is underrepresented, which means they want more people from your state. That’s an advantage for you.

I have read a lot of these CC forums, but I can’t find out much about how URM’s benefit from their status or not. I know for a fact that 9.1% out of the 4245 HARVARD SCEA candidates are Hispanic. That means I am competing with 385 other hispanics. How do you think the URM numbers will turn out. I anticipate around 850 of us will be accepted based on past numbers, which is 850/4245 around a 20% acceptance rate.

@collegeinfo1994 oh awesome, geographic quotas ftw

@bananafreak, hopefully!! fingers crossed but I’m more interested in scientific engineering…

I just noticed that the article was first published in 1967…

Hey all! I didn’t apply early due to a very busy fall, but I was just wondering, are any of you guys athletic recruits/plan to play a sport at Harvard? :D

When do we hear back?

@Alex I’m not a recruit (I wish!) but I do plan on joining the Radcliffe crew team! Are you?

December 15, I believe. Or is it December 14, at 5:00?

That’s awesome!!! Do you row currently? Crew is the besttt. : D I might be coxing! (for men)

I DESPERATELY WANT TO BE A RECRUIT, GAAAAH. I’ve been a varsity athlete for my entire high school career. Life without sports seems sort of empty /:

What sport? Did you contact the coach?
