I just got an email from the committee chair affirming the date we (interviewers) would be notified of admissions decisions… it’s always pretty much the same.

Btw many clubs DO have a reception for admitted students… For scea it will probably be mid Jan… Believe me, there will be no question when you are invited to that!

@riz I can only guess they want to get the word out about their event… The only people who know about decisions until 12-15 at 5 are adcoms/financial aid staff in Cambridge…

@1987 If you are an interviewer, I’ve got a question.
Does a good interview help at all, or is it only the bad interviews that make a difference?

^agree… IMHO very few interview reports will influence a decision one way or the other. I think an interview CAN make a difference (in my many years of doing it, I know one of my reports had an impact on an admissions decision… and frankly that impact was probably minimal).

I did not apply to Harvard SCEA, but can someone please tell me when you guys find out the admissions decisions? A person in my class applied, and I was wondering when she finds out the result…

i wonder if there’s a faster way to know if we’ve been accepted or not … perhaps a call can be made to the post office? to know if any mail is waiting for us? just wondering =/

Sigh So, two days and change guys, I just wanted to say one thing (half to myself):

these are going to be the longest three days of my life.

at this point, i’d rather get a rejection than a deferral, though an acceptance would be most preferable also, this past week, i feel as if everyone in the world has decided to wear harvard attire or be associated with the ivies in some way. there’s a section in my neighborhood with streets named after all the elite schools. it mocks me.
