^ Yess!! I have friends who applied to both places and I’m rooting for them! Can’t believe that’s gonna be us in a week!

Hahaha, we’ll be peacefully watching all of them worry and fret and cheer, and then in a week we will all take their roles. I won’t find out in a week though since I did opt out of an email. Maybe the 15th or the 17th. I’d much rather it arrive Saturday than on a Monday.

@NewYork94: It’s kind of exciting knowing Columbia’s ED decisions are only 19 hours away… I love watching decision threads as everything comes in! It’s interesting seeing how everything turns out.

I wholeheartedly agree. I like to try to find people with apps as similar as mine to get some ideas/hope/dejection. But no conclusions from that activity are determinitive of my own results as we are all unique and different in many, maybe small, ways.

I believe that self reporting of AP scores is all that is needed until you decide to confirm your acceptance. There is no need to waste the money sending actual scores.

So, my guidance counselor told me Harvard emailed them today requesting my first quarter grades. I haven’t been rejected yet, I guess…akjlkglhflhllkhhjl.

Does anyone whose school uses Naviance know how soon the results will be posted there? Meaning, before or after we are e-mailed?

I believe Naviance is updated the week AFTER results come out.

Wait, does Harvard require first quarter grades? I never submitted mine in thinking they didn’t require them.

@NewYork94 No, it doesn’t require them, I believe, because schools are on different quarter/trimester systems.
P.S. I did not expect so many rejections over in the Dartmouth forum!! Literally only like 3 acceptances so far… :/

Does anyone know when SCEA result emails get sent? Looking at last year’s thread it was almost 10pm…

Well they don’t call them hyperselective for teh lulz. ^_^

I’m hoping Dartmouth’s troubles are only because of that 12.5 percent drop. If that’s the case, maybe we can be more optimistic with out 15 percent jump? :D

Shouldn’t it be the opposite? :/

Well, yeah, I’m just grasping for anything right now. I’m just guessing they may bump the number they accept because of a possible better pool, from like 770 to 800 maybe? Who knows what will happen. We on CC, even though sizable, are still only a slice of the general populace. Maybe ED Dartmouth wasn’t as bad as CC makes it look

Hey guys, I just wanted to switch to get my decision by email- do you think it’ll still go through?

Possibly not, but gogogogo.

In any case, the admissions folks will always be a phonecall away on decisions day, even if the snailmail isn’t.

Does anyone think it’s a bad sign if your senior transcript is not requested?

It seems kind of unfair to use one for admissions, though. -_-

@iluvbooks94 What were your grades generally like? Have they exponentially improved since 9th/10th grade? Just so the rest of us can evaluate what this means for us…
