<p>well…there is a difference between 2400 and 2300, otherwise what’s the point of giving two different numbers? A 2400 definitely looks better than a 2300, but how much better? only slightly</p>
<p>Obviously a 2400 is “better” than a 2300, but in the context of admissions, especially holistic admissions, it’s only one part of your package. Once you reach the grade threshold, so to speak, points here or there don’t really make a difference.</p>
<p>Considering that majority of the applicants are within the grade threshold, I feel like the essays, extraordinary ECs, or a passion for something are what push most candidates over the edge.</p>
<p>^ I would tend to agree with you, especially the LORs and essays. I suppose, though, that we’ll all find out just how much in less than 2 days hahaha.</p>
