Official Harvard SCEA Class of 2017

scea Harvard
UPenn
Cornell
Columbia
UVA
Notre Dame
Hofstra-honors
StonyBrook-honors
Fordham
CUNY Macauly-honors

Good Luck to All!

I think they’ll send out access codes after the November 1st deadline. Right now they’re probably starting the initial application process, and waiting for people’s supplemental materials and financial aid apps to come in.

I also thought that they tried to get as many scea people interviewed as possible?

They try to interview everyone regardless if they apply SCEA or RD. If there are no alumni in your area/there are alumni butt hey don’t have time, that is fine. You will not be penalized. You will get access codes later on. Don’t freak out about anything.

-Harvard '16er

Can’t believe this is happening already

What’s the policy for sending out first quarter grades to Harvard SCEA? On the website, there are no written guidelines and I assume that one can send first quarter grades to Harvard if they want to. But, are first quarter grades required?

SCEA Harvard
RA Yale
RA Princeton

Also applying to, in UK:
Oxford
LSE
Durham
UCL
Warwick

Overall first choice is Oxford, followed by US Colleges.

Hey guys! I applied on the 15th, and I just received my confirmation email from Harvard. It gave me the link to request my access code, but when I typed in my email address it said that my email account was unable to be found on record.

This may just be because my email address hasn’t been entered on record yet - I just received the email a few minutes ago. Were you guys able to get your access codes?

I have the same problem!! And I thought it was just me…haha.

Okay, good. Thank you! I’m sure there’s just going to be a period of a few days where they’re inserting all of these email addresses. Best of luck with your application!

Hopefully it won’t take long, because I’m anxious!! Good luck to you too! And everyone else who is applying :)

Same issue with the e-mail! Ah, I feel so much better. Anyway, here’s a list:

Harvard (SCEA)
Michigan (EA - state school/safety)
Princeton
Stanford
MIT
Yale
Columbia
UPenn
Caltech

:| scary list of schools, but those are the only places my parents will send me to over Michigan. Good luck to everyone!

Same issue with the access code. They’re probably still inputting emails and stuff. I’ll try again tomorrow or something. I also heard from my interviewer today. Things are moving along!

SUP GUISE. Soooo is it bad that I haven’t submitted yet…?

^The due date is November 1; they won’t consider it.

Also, I was just able to log onto the applicant portal. My recommendation letters and secondary school report are marked “not received.” Are they marked as received for you guys? I sent them in quite a while ago, so it may just be Harvard inputting that information. Thanks in advance!

Yep, same here. Submitted everything (common app, supplement, letters, etc.) on the 15th. Not only does it say they received the app/supplement on the 19th, my recs are marked “not received”. I’m sure the date is not when I sent it but whenever they inputted it into their system. Similarly, they probably haven’t gotten to entering the letters yet.

T-53 days!

Says the 19th for me even though I submitted on the 15th as well. Sounds good! Just wanted to confirm  Thank you for your help, and best of luck with everything!

The applicant portal thing doesn’t work for me. It just says “Thank you for your interest in Harvard College and your participation in the Class of 2016 admission process. We do not post our admissions decisions online.” and other stuff not relevant to this year :S

@coollog The Application Status page is what you need to look at. The admitted students page is down (what I think you checked). Here’s the link:

https://admweb.fas.harvard.edu/ha/Applicant/ApplicantFrame.html</a></p>

Hope this helps.

Oh thanks, I was on this page and just figured out that my browser cached the old version of this page. I just needed to clear my cache.

Does anyone else’s status say that the “Secondary School / Dean’s Report” was not received even though Common App says that it was downloaded?
