Have you guys submitted CSS? Deadline is Nov 1st.

@2019mom completed for me, submitting tomorrow

@AnotherPSEOKid How much time you have spent on CSS? I think there are many calculation there. If you made a mistake, you have no chance to correct it. College Board also says “You cannot change your application information online for the colleges and programs you selected once you submit your application”

@2019mom I spent the past 2-3 weeks on it with my father.

@2019mom, is CSS for financial aid?

just submitted my app! good luck to everyone~

@nomatterwhat Yes. <a href=“CSS Profile Home – CSS Profile | College Board”>College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools;

Just submitted my app. Both excited and nervous!

Just curious, if any of you did the supplement, how long/how many words is it? I really like mine but am worried its too long and just be a drain on the AO; I just wanted to get a feel of an acceptable range!

@auditi5: Mine was about 450 words

Yes!! I’m applying to Harvard Early Action
Hello fellow applicants
I can’t believe we’re applying to college!
When did we get so old?

My supplement is 973 words :D

Is the application due BEFORE November 1st? Or can I still submit on the day of November 1st up until 11:59?

@gronk37 you should probably submit your application at least two days in advance. You don’t want anything to go awry right before the deadline, and commonapp.org will probably crash (as it has in the past) due to all the traffic during the last few hours. Yes, colleges sometimes extend deadlines due to the commonapp’s servers crashing, but you shouldn’t count on that. Do you really want to be panicked and in a rush to get your app in on time?

But to answer your question, the application is due November 1st at 11:59 EST. So basically the night OF Nov. 1, not the day before.

@Ambitious19 thanks for the clarification. Also, do we need to answer the “What specific plan do you have, if any, for using the education you hope to receive?” question if we live inside the US? The question appears under “students applying from outside the US & Canada.” Anyone know?

submitted app just now!

Submitted CSS profile. All that’s left is my supplemental essay

One question:
Is it better to put a sport I played in high school for 2 years and won 2nd/3rd place awards on or that I know 6 different computer languages?

@fairyfantasy I would probably put down the 6 computer languages if that pertains to your potential studies in college. Also, do you know if we have to answer the “what plan do you have for using the education” question if we live in the US?

@gronk87 was that question on the common app? or the harvard specific app? I don’t remember seeing it but maybe that’s because I applied princeton scea, not harvard.
