<p>Are tax returns necessary? I thought it was CSS only?</p>
<p>Did anyone get interviewed yet? I had mine today.</p>
<p>I don’t think you need to fax tax returns now. Only CSS.</p>
<p>I think CollegeBoard will contact us early next year to request tax return, then harvard will automatically know. </p>
<p>How’d it go? @academicnut </p>
<p>The my status portal is so intimidating. You can’t change anything</p>
<p>@Jellybae
The interview went pretty well. My interviewer called me last Saturday, which completely caught me by surprise. We scheduled it and she emailed me her contact information and an interview form a few hours later. We agreed to meet at a restaurant/café near my high school.
I arrived late due to unforeseen circumstances so I called her a few minutes in advance and explained my situation; she was very understanding and said that she would wait for me however long it takes. I had been crying in the car. Thank God the lighting was dim because I’m sure my eyes were bloodshot. My interviewer was very sweet; she asked if I wanted to take a breather first but I had composed myself enough to begin right away.
My ‘interview’ was more similar to a conversation between friends. I gave her my interview form (which asked for test scores, academic achievements, etc.) and she skimmed it. We soon began chatting and one topic eased into another. She only needed to ask an initial question. We chatted about many topics – school, all of my extracurriculars, my childhood, etc. She also told me about her children and her job.
The interview was supposed to last for 45 minutes but it ended up being 1 hour 20 minutes. It certainly did not feel that way. I truly enjoyed talking to my interviewer and I felt very comfortable with her. She said that she’ll cross her fingers for me, which is a good sign All in all, a success.</p>
<p>@academicnut, well done! What was the initial question she asked? </p>
<p>And should I be worried if I submitted my app mid October and still haven’t been contacted…?</p>
<p>And the wait for December 11 begins…</p>
<p>@academicnut How did you dress for your interview?</p>
<p>If my interviewer didn’t ask for a resume or anything, do you guys think I should still bring one along? If so, when should I hand it to her, in the beginning or the end of the interview? </p>
<p>I think you should still bring one. I’d tell her I have a resume if she wants to see it. </p>
<p>@nomatterwhat I think I’ll just bring a copy of my common application. That should suffice as a resume, right?</p>
<p>I think so.
Why do some of you say 12.11? Isn’t it 12.15 that we should be waiting for? </p>
<p>@235423 I would suggest you cut it down, your interviewer won’t be interested in half of the stuff on the Common App</p>
<p>@235423, do you have a resume? I think that’s probably the best thing to bring.</p>
<p>@pmmywest, I thought the resume is the expanded version of the common app. How do you cut down the common app from 10 activities + 5 honors to put together a resume? </p>
<p>I’d really like to know how to make the resume…</p>
<p>@Karabekian, I’m not an expert but you can take this as a reference - in my resume, I have: My name, DOB, academic goal.
then test scores (SAT, AP) and GPA
Then awards
Then ECs
Then job (which I have none lol)</p>
<p>@nomatterwhat I’m not sure! But I saw last years results and on their thread the applicants knew about the results on the 12/13 , so I’m guessing that results come out a few days before the 15th! </p>
<p>@nomatterwhat: In the past decisions have usually come out the Thursday/Friday before the 15th. Notice that it says decisions will be released BY the 15th, not on. The 11th is the Thursday before, and a few pages back someone posted a likely letter saying decisions would be released then. So, the 11th it is.</p>
<p>aha! It’d be nice if we hear it earlier - I guess? </p>
