Math: 720
Writing: 710 w/ 9 Essay
Critical Reading: 600 :

Overall, pretty disappointed. Was hoping for high 700’s or 800’s on math and writing, and at least a 700 critical reading.

@benjamin8451 Congrats! We did it! 2300+ yay! Your score is awesome. ;)

CR: — 710
M: — 770
WR: — 790 (77 MC, 10 Essay)

Second time, pretty happy with it (: I don’t wanna retake but I might for CR…we’ll see. Congrats everyone!

Composite: 2240
CR: 700
Math: 740
Writing: 800 80 MC, 10 essay
first time taking the official sat! still shocked by my 80 on the writing MC. does this mean i didn’t miss a single question?
overall i’m pretty pleased with my score. if i am confident that i can improve my CR score by the next test date is it worth taking the test again or should i just stick with my 2240…? yayay proud of myself nonetheless

@anc10308 good job!
I also got 80 MC and 10 essay, I believe that means we didn’t miss any!
If you think you can improve the CR, then i think it would be worth a shot.
2240 is a really good score though already. I would say retaking would just come down to your own opinion (is it worth it to study a little more, or are you fine with the score and would rather do something else?)

hahahhaah, am I the only loser here?
I got - 640 Critical Reading
650- Math
600- Writing hahahahahaahha
I took my test in Moscow, Russia xDDDD)

@Peachmarmalade thanks for the advice and congrats on your 800 in writing! Also, I have heard it’s just a myth, but are some months better in which to take the sat than others? If this is true, I want to wait and take the test during the month when I’ll have the biggest advantage curve-wise. Anyone else with some insight can feel free to respond too thank you!

I did pretty bad, even for a freshman

Reading-480
Math-600
Writing-470

My prep school dreams are crushed

@anc10308 I think that is a myth but this is my first time taking the SAT. However, I am pretty positive that the month does not matter.

The SAT is probably the most efficiently standardized test ever constructed. There is no way to gain an advantage by trying to game the test taking date. The College Board does everything possible to ensure that this remains the case.

cr: 760
m: 650
w: 630 [67(I think) + 7 essay]

Really screwed up on m and w but at least I will be able to super score my cr.

Is anyone retaking in May/June? I got 2060 this time hoping to push my score to 2300 next time and I’m wondering where I can find past SAT questions (like the googledoc we had for Jan international this year) and also how I can push my CR score up (e.g. which vocab books are good?) :)

@MadSpaceCow WOW that CR is amazing i will trade you my 790 in writing and 770 in math for it. haha but seriously how did you do it

@Peezuz

Tbh I just winged(wung?) the critical reading, didn’t study. I only practiced, ironically, math and writing. I think I just really understood the passages. I kinda wish I had studied vocab though, because If I had answered the two I omitted I think I could have had a shot at 800. And yeah man, I’d take that trade any day of the week Do you have any tips for studying writing perchance? I think that is my big problem.

@MadSpaceCow for writing, I just practiced and saw patterns in the questions that I was missing. Also, check out college panda website, it has every type of writing question which was super helpful. I got an 80 subscore and only a 9 essay, so can really help you out on the essay. As for the math, TRIPLE check every problem, I used to get 600-650 in practice math until I started being really careful. Concepts aren’t very difficult. You can bring up your M and W really easily, but you should be really happy with your CR. for real I’m so jealous haha good luck bro

^is collegepanda the best for someone in the low 700’s or is there a better book for that?

@peezus

Thanks man, and yeah good luck to you too!

@PusatShrade its for everyone, helped me from 2040 to 2240, hopefully even higher the third time. Helped my mate from 1590 to 2010, success stories vary

Anyone any advice to raise CR score from 610 to 700+? Plan to retake in May and CR is the only thing holding me back from getting 2250+

@icecreampie I have heard Direct hits is really good for vocab, but that is about all I know for studying. If you struggle with the reading sections you should probably just practice. Also maybe work on speed? When I did the reading sections for this test I generally had around 5 to 6 minutes to go back over the questions in the passages.
