i've got a question that's been bugging me...since your composite score is ultimately the rounded off average of your 4 subject scores, can you get a 35 on one subject and 36s on the rest (or maybe two 36s and two 35s) and still "technically" get a 36? I know that won't make you one of the 106 or however many that got true perfect scores, but would it read the same composite when sent to college? Or are you basically screwed if you miss one question?

dunno.. but i have already gotten a 33 and a 32... so the pressure is ofF! now if i get like a 20, ill just be like OH WELL, but if i get a 35 or 34 or 36 ill be like.... WHOOO HOOopy and HOO RAA... at least something to that degree.... ill let ya'll know when it happens!!

:)

yeah this'll be my second time taking ACT (29 first time SUCKS!) I'm much better at the SAT but since this you can pick and choose which score you send to a college instead of sending them all, I can basically take this until I get a 35/36. Sweet!

I'm still bummed that I can't use the TI-89. I basically completely forget how to use my TI-83.

Anything you see about "perfect scores", if it's from ACT, just means a 36 composite.

good luck and good night.

I will be expecting to see all you guys in the post-ACT discussion :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Ha, post-ACT discussion...yeah right. I'm going out and enjoying my summer which will start the minute I hand the essay to the proctor. Can't wait!

wish you all the best luck, god bless... i'll see you after the test for the post-discussion.... hopefully i remember everything for the discussion!!!

Okay are there any like not smart people here? I got a 21 on my composite for the april test (****ty but i didnt finish like half my test) I found the act to be sorta easy. The reason why i did so bad is cause i didnt realize how cramped for time each section was and i was dumb and didnt even attempt to guess anything. I'm hoping to score at least a 25 or 26 this time around however. Are there any tips on how to do well in the english and reading sections?? I couldnt finish those damn sections for the life of me.

I'd like to see you guys after the test, but I got grad parties to attend afterwards, and then Sunday I'm leaving for a week. So maybe 1 week from tomorrow I'll check out the ACT discussion :).

good luck everyone. Test is starting soon.

Wow that was a nightmare.
ACT forgot to send 50 tests to my testing center. There were over 30 kids whose names were not included on the room roster for some reason, and they did not send enough tests. Basically, ACT screwed up BIG TIME. 20 kids started the test, and ACT forgot to send the yellow writing form, so their tests will be invalidated.

^^^^ wow that sucks. Well at least you get a retake right?

Damn, that sucks! Just another mistake from good ole' ACT.

finished the test....i think i did pretty well. are all the tests the same, or are there a bunch of different versions, like the SAT?

admanrich,
What "yellow writing form"? I can't think of what, under those circumstances, would cause tests to be invalidated.

Wasn't too bad...my writing wasn't all that good but that doesn't matter for composite. Eng, Reading, and Math were super easy. Science was a little challeging not b.c it was hard, but b/c it was a lot to absorb in 35 mins

I'd agree with that assessment.

they need to add 10 mins extra for science.. that + critical reading = information overload.

and what a retarded essay question.
