Was the answer to the “which is least acceptable”

Something to do with being longer

A. Extremely
B. Considerably

@Bucky, I put extremely because it does not show a great amount of time has passed.

I put C i think because well it didn’t really sound formal.

@Bucky
I think the word following was “longer”
A. Extremely longer
B. Considerably longer

Extremely longer isn’t gramatically correct, and therefore the one that couldn’t fit.

Extremely was the answer.

i put no comma for the jumble sentence, but i agree it was really awkward and just not a good question. i think that might make the curve -1=36. but anyway do you guys remember a question from the LED passage in which the choices were yield, surrender, relinquish and cede? i put yield, which was no change, did anyone else?

@chillin
Same here c:

I put no change also.

@chillin: yield is correct

the one with the answer choices
3 transition words ( “likewise, he”, “therefore, he”) can’t remember exactly.
and one that was just a period " --. He"

help?

@jlee- It’s just . He

There were a few no change answers. I think I got one or two wrong.
The one that I remember giving me a lot of trouble was the LED question that asked if in the first paragraph it should insert “However, LEDs are still used in signal lights.”
I knew it was no, but I put D, because it contradicted the previous sentence.
I thought about it some more, and now, too late, I think it’s because it disrupted the flow and could be inferred from the previous sentence (C). What did you guys put?

was there parentheses around LED? or was it dashes?

i hate that they use such awkward phrases like “what’s more”

@pj: the sentence interrupted the flow of the paragraph by stating what was already implied.

@pjdinkley yes, unfortunately it was C disrupting flow.
For the one about whether the height of the volcano should be included, was it yes it should because helps with context/habitat??

Was “using” an answer? I think it might have been in the guerilla girls passage.

@pjdinkley
Aw, darn, I think I put D as well.
Only because the way they phrased it… “However, LEDs are STILL used as signal lights.” contradicts the fact that they are new and improved. The sentence makes it sound like LEDs are now old technology, but are still used in simple things.
Could be either, though.

I thought it should be included, because mentioning the height and the fact that it was a volcano fit with the next sentence of how it could survive in that harsh environment.

it may have not been disrupting flow… that one is debatable
