You guys, the it vs itself question is grammar. There is correct grammar and there is incorrect grammar. ‘Itself’ in context is incorrect grammar.

The other “yes” answer was something like, “yes, because the essay goes on to elaborate different volcanoes.” I think?

@hotelrwanda two

was it 2-3 wrong a 34 in april? or just two?

I don’t know, I just use the chart (Google the ACT scoring chart and you’ll find it. It might be good to print it off if you plan on doing practice tests if you want to retake)

I think the answer was No because it listed not only the name of the volcano but several attributes about it—unneeded.

also there was another confusing question where the second sentence in a paragraph was underlined. The first sentence was in the past tense and the third was the future (something like “blah blah would accumulate over time”). So what tense was the second sentence?

if only we could call act and ask for the answers…

on that problem i put “the plant” instead of “it” or “itself”

the little hairs protected the plant from the sun or radiation or whatever
i did many practice problems like these so i was confident that it was “the plant”

haha just an input. not sure if it’s correct or not

Skylimits is correct…But otherwise, I have a question about the essay…Will the grader give me a 5 instead of a 6 on the essay if I didn’t get to finish the last sentence of my conclusion? I did everything correctly otherwise: examples, analysis, different perspectives, address of counterargument. What do you guys think? I just couldn’t finish off that zinger at the end…

@ratmkino
It’s probably fine, they probably just won’t consider the last sentence. Heck, they probably don’t even read it long enough to notice haha.
I’m not sure though. My “zinger” was pretty bad. I had to explain my quote to make it work with the essay :P

@jlee98
Was “the plant” an option? I only remember it and itself.

the plant was an option. but the sentence was like this “… the plant, the little hairs protected ____ from the sun…” So the plant couldn’t be right. Can somebody answer my question i posted earlier on this page?

Did anybody else put “illusion to” (letter C) for number 73 I think it was??

Yes. now volcano question? please

It was “illusion of”

its illusion of i think

“Illusion of” is correct. You say “allusion to,” but that’s incorrect and wasn’t even a choice (the one in the passage is “allusion of”).

Did anybody else put that the Volcano info was a good addition to the passage because it informed the reader of the plant’s habitat?

Didn’t have enough time to check… Hopefully I will got a 30

@Wolverine7 do you remember if that was letter C?
