Make a new paragraph. That’s the format that I got a 9 with.

I do not quite follow you…will you explain it throughly?

I got a 12 on my essay, and the best advice I could give would be to not just address the topic at face value. Evaluate the implications of both sides, and then use those to help make your argument stronger. If you’ve done debate at all, another really good piece of advice would be to write your essay exactly like a PF debate case. That’s exactly how I wrote mine, and it paid off. Make sure you have a logical flow of events and that your evidence is relevant. Logos is the most important appeal to make in writing the essay and persuading the graders. Also, if time is an issue, consider only writing two body paragraphs, ie, if you take the affirmative, write one paragraph bolstering the side of the affirmative, and then one to attack the negative. Hopefully this will help.
