For the english, was the one where the question said “which one could NOT replace the underlined word” or something was it “extremely” or “a great deal?”
And for the plant one, was it “protect it from” or “protect itself from”

I said extremely. Extremely longer is just wrong.

I’ve taken the test twice before, and scored a 27 in February and a 29 in April. Frankly, this was an awful science section. I took the test this time solely to get a good score in reading for my superscore

I think I succeeded ^^^ (hopefully better than my original 25!)

English was average, math was average, reading was easy IMO but I thought science was pretty hard, especially time-wise.

For that rocket question it was one. I was confused too until I read the question again and realized it asked for the time during its ascension. 2 was for when it was going down.

But overall I thought it wasn’t too bad. The reading section bored me out of my mind and I was rushed on the reading and science part.

I think both the Reading and English portions were very easy. However, on the math portion, though that was easy for the most part, I made so many silly mistakes and got questions wrong that I knew the answers to. This happened almost 5 times on the easiest ones. Does anyone have any suggestions for getting over it, because it is really bothering me a lot. (Also, for the girl w/ the garden questions, was the plot 8 by 12 or 8 by 16 inches?) Thanks

Hey I haven’t taken the act for about 2 years, do we get back our test booklet and answer sheet? or just our score?

When do you think a -5 will be for Math? :/…
I’m kicking myself for missing so many, and there’s a chance I might have missed more gahhhh…

i feel the same way, i now i missed at least 4, because i didn’t have time to answer it and i probably missed at least two more.
Hopefully it is a lenient curve and -5=34
or it could be as bad as-3=34

Hopefully so >< Knowing the curves it usually never is that lenient :/…
Besides it seems a lot of people think they did well from the convos in the math section ><
Hopefully it’s at least above 30, anything below I will freak…hoping for at least a 32-33 that section even though my norm is usually a 35…BLEH.

I don’t know about you guys, but I am so ready to find out my da** scores already…

I feel like it was all pretty easy, except for science time-wise, especially since my proctor didn’t give a five-minute warning on science like she did on every other section. I ended up leaving two blank on science, but think I got all the others right.

What would a predicted score be for -0E, -2M, -0R, -2S?

I agree evanh14 it was pretty easy this time around, besides me making stupid mistakes.
Hopefully my other sections are high enough to make up for my surprisingly crappy math score >_<…reallllly want that 34, I’m only going to be a junior next year, but is it true the scholarship deadline is end of junior year? I’m hearing different things for OU scholarship. And it’s a 34, not 33.5, right?

Evanh14 in terms of your score, I would say
36
35[mmmayyybee 36]
36
34, 35 if it’s a nice curve
Leading you to a composite of about 35.25 lowest, and 35.75 highest

which section did you guys think was the hardest?

Math and science I thought were slightly more difficult than usual. English was easier and reading was about average.

As far as my opinion goes, english was average; I’ve finally learned not to get caught in the trickery of awkward wording this time as I am a very awkward writer. Math, it was a tad better than April’s. Reading was sort of a train wreck for me; I felt confident about the ones I answered until I got here. -_- I missed at least 7-8 of the 30 questions I got through then I just bubbled in b for the last passage all the way down. Science, I started slow and was ready to give up. However, when I got to the second passage, I started to feel better. Contrary to that, I only got to number 30 and b-ed it all the way down. So yeah, I’m nervous as can be for reading and science.

Does anyone have the Test Information Release from the April 2012 exam? I’d be interested in the curve.

Hardest for me was English. I thought it was easy, but I’d bet $100 that it’s my lowest score. Math was easy, it may have been harder, but it’s my strong suit. I thought reading was easier than usual, I got 2-3 wrong on that damn tattoo passage and only 1-3 wrong on the other 3 combined. I thought science was weird, but not necessarily hard. The sequence passage had me confused for a while, I haven’t seen anything like that on practice tests before, but I think I did fine on it. One of the last passages was really confusing as well.

Hmmm some nice gamma ray questions in that science section. Probably paying homage to Bruce Banner and the rest of the Avengers.
