Official June 2012 SAT Writing (US)

@warlands, I think that was question #26. I didn’t notice the error at first but it was repetitive. The answer was like “have been” I think it was option B or C.

hey guys what were 16 and 21?

What was the question that asked you to change surprisingly?

@Krungle I do not believe that CollegeBoard uses such transitive logic. If it did, then our SAT would look vastly different from how it does now.

SAT100, i got that too, thanks

Okay, I’m getting a little freaked out… My essay prompt was definitely “does repeating past actions lead to success” and I talked about people repeatedly standing up for what the believed in, going against others, etc. (mark mathabane, lt. When watada, and Seward). Do essays vary?

That’s off topic.

@howmany I don’t think it’s off topic if tangie really got a different prompt like that

dooood. what were 16 and 21??

@krungle he means the essay itself. Off topic gets a score of 0.

The topic was “does repeating past actions that worked likely lead to success?” or something like that

@Krungle, once again you fail to understand the intrinsic meaning of his post. Tangie is doubting his recollection of the essay question. Meanwhile you ignorantly assume that he recieved a different essay question.

guys, what was the answer to the question about the Incas and the silver and gold as symbols. Was it A- "however, " or was it “but,” … this was a improving sentences question

for the essay, I used gandhi, harriet tubman, and muhammed alli describing how there difficulties only made positive outcomes… did I kind of change the prompt a little? I wrote a great essay up to the bottom of the 2nd page, i would give myself an 11-12 on it, unless it didn’t really follow the prompt, someone get back to me? Im getting worried and might want to cancel

I said ‘but.’ However isn’t a conjunction… it’s a conjunctive adverb.

Does anyone remember the question that said smhtn like

The town called blah, very much like other towns in the southwest us, have a history of tourism and bsbs

@bryster126 wow, that’s a little harsh. I checked with other people at my testing place and they got the same prompt as me, basically what satboy707 said. So… I dunno. Maybe there were two prompts.

@jam yes, the error was ‘have’. It should be ‘has’.

It was ‘has’ instead of ‘have’ jamjlk.

@Cynosuree Indeed, that one was “but.”

I’m not sure why there’s confusion over the essay prompt. It was on whether simply repeating past successes guarantees a better shot at future success. Unfortunately, I only finished about 1.5 pages before I ran out of time, but I cram everything together when I write, so I’m hoping for a decent grade on it.
