my goal was a 2100 so i’m really proud of myself as i’m from michigan, where the ACT is the dominant test, i’m not very familiar with scoring distributions and such for the SAT. i’m applying to colleges that aren’t necessarily ivy leagues, but are prestigious, like penn (only ivy i’m applying to), uchicago, georgetown, U of M, etc. also i’m anticipating being a national merit semifinalist since my PSAT score was a 218 and in michigan the cutoff is usually around 210. should i retake??

790 on the Bio M subject test. So close!! :(

2000
CR: 610
M: 700
W: 690 (9Essay)

man…score looks okay because it was what i was aiming for…but the reading is killing D:

M: 570
CR: 580
W: 600 (55 subscore, 10 essay)

I’m happy math went up, CR went down. Overall only a 10 point increase. Guess my studying with a friend didn’t help, I suppose I’m going to have to take a class or something to better my score.

1830
CR: 550
M: 710
W: 570 / 10

Sigh. Did you guys just use the blue book for CR / W?

M 740
CR 740
W 800

2280! Yay!
Lol, my CR went down from my first time. It was pretty tough this time around.

I improved pretty dramatically (+240):

CR: 660 (up from 610) ugh
M: 790 (up from 700)
W: 800 (up from 700) - E: 10 (9)

CR has always been my weak point, but I’m elated to have gone from 2010 to 2250. A retake pays off!

Pretty satisfied, got a 2090, +150, but now I have a super score 2100!
CR:640->690
M:670->760
W:650/9->640/7

I went down on writing, does this look bad to colleges?

Pretty disappointed
CR: 580 (expected, but at the same time not really)
M: 680 (expected a little higher, but oh well)
W: 610- E: 8
1870
Although I’m only a sophomore, I feel pretty ashamed of myself considering the high scores of other sophomores on here… I didn’t really prep at all… but I expected more from myself… Any advice to improve my score? Should I just get the blue book? Or should I do the $70 online course?

M: 760

2270 - I am happy with this. High enough that I am not taking the SATs ever again! Yeah!

Ehh, I don’t know how to feel about these scores. I know I choked on the math because normally it is my best subject. I just fail at geometry. I think should take it again. Any tips for studying for the math and writing sections?

Is it just practicing over and over?

Okay just letting you all know that I am not looking at same top schools as you guys so, these scores will get me into the colleges that I am interested in with hopefully good aid and I’m more than thrilled with my score.
