**Official June 2013 SAT II Math 2 Thread**

TY Niceboat for the list, let’s try to get all 50 questions!!!

@purple, there was this one point (x,y) in which you plug the x into the equation to see if it equals to the y of the (x,y), i forgot the point’s numbers…

Was it cos(2pi-x) or no?

It was definitely cos 2pi-x.

I think so. Will add.

Does anyone remember if (-6,-4) was an option on the midpoint question? I’m panicking because I’m not sure if I accidentally put that instead of (-4,-6)

I too thought it was (-6, something). Can someone else confirm?

There was a log and expo problem where the answer was 1.5?

^ Yeah I saw (-6, y) in one of the choices

^myButler Did you put that? Or did you put (-4,-6) as the answer?

@before, I put (-4, -6)
i just used the distance formula to find the distance between the midpoint and the point that was given, then I manually found the distance between the midpoint and like 3 of the answer choices (worst action ever. I lost like 20 seconds in doing so. 20 seconds of a valuable test time. i’ll never get it back </3)

…

There was a question about the x intercept of log(4-x), and the answer was 3

@myButler I can’t remember what I put now, this is frustrating haha. Do you remember what number the question was?

I put (-4,-6)

You’re supposed to use the midpoint formula
(x1+x2)/2 is the mid x coord.
(y1+y2)/2 is the mid y coord.

Now that I’m thinking about it. The points was (12, y)
Mid was (3, y)

So that means the other point had to (-6, y).
I just don’t remember if the answer was (-6, -4) or (-6, 4)

There was a question that asked how to find the period of tan(bx) (or something like that?). I put pi/b.

the question about the tan function period…it was pi/B

and te one with the triangle and the side K
it was k/(k^2+1), if i remember correctly

for the list…lets reach 50

Anyone know the answer to the range question that appeared in the first 15 questions. There was a line and a box and asked for the range. It’s either 8 or 13 which one is it?

I’m pretty sure both were negative, so it had to be (-6,-4)

Okay. I added all those. We’re at 38!

Range question was 13.
41-28

Yeah, both were negative for sure. Also agreeing for log question, answer was (3,0) for that one
