Official June 4 SAT Reasoning test discussion

did anyone have the passage about the young art interpreter and the monkey in the painting?

what did suggest mean in context?
what did the stage directions indicate (ex. astonishment was one of them)

also for the disney land one, what was the answer to the question about there being so many adults that went to the park?

i put the one that meant amazement

the question was: from the astronomer's quote, it can be inferred that his philosophy is:
thoughtful prudence
absolute isolationism

his quote was like: "we should not send messages out there without (some word that almost meant care) because that's like a baby calling for a tiger."

oh, and what was the point of mentioning "genre" was it the answer that said it was a humorous something?

oh, that one was thoughtful prudence i think - because he didnt want to be dangerous and risk having aliens attack

YES...thats what i put

albert, thoughtful prudence DOES make sense now.. im not sure why i chose isolationism.. i BOMBED this test (minus writing.. i did ok on that)

did anyone else have the section with the disneyland passage?

i got 790 on writing in may, so i went super fast on writing, and then in my head tried to figure out if my answers on math were correct

u r rite grumpy...

i have a very important question!!! i am begging SOMEONE to answer it for me... so far no one has discussed the problem involving a circle with two tangential lines. it asked about the length of an arc on the circle. does anyone know if this section was experimental? usually i am good at math, but i really didn't know how to do that... please someone, help!

MSH...was one of the answer choices 4sqrt(3) + 8 ? cuz that was the answer for a question similar to what you are describing

can someone confirm/answer the following:

the kangaroo (with "the greater")= no error
the executive will do blah after the committe "had done" blah, i put had done, shouldnt it be has done?
"after the expedition, very little attention has been paid to its discoveries", i put has been, should be was, rite?
what was the wet paint??
was the mikecia in paragraph correcting the one with -- --

i don't remember that as an answer choice. i remember only whole numbers.. i think it was soemthing like 5, 6, 8, 10... something like that... i'll try to describe it more. there was a circle with two tangents which intersected each other to the left of the circle. the circle was set at the origin of a coordinate plane. the problem gave the angle (x) of the intersection point (x=40). it then asked for the length of a small arc on a part of the circle. i still cant figure it out.

fermat - yes i got the mikecia one with dashes. im pretty certain it's correct. i put no error for the kangaroo but i wasn't sure. don't remember executive. "was" it right for the expedition.

no sorry MSH i didnt have that

"The executive will announce the final design after the judges had made changes to the design."

something like that...shouldnt it be "have made" instead of had because the verb in the introductory clause is in the future

was the answer "coffee could be roasted legally" rite?

yes to both i think..

was the one with the "comet pockmarks on the earth" E (the last choice...i dont remember the answer tho, i just remember E)?
