Official June 4 SAT Reasoning test discussion

I put "no error", and googling it, it looks like that is the correct answer, and I put 1/8 for the cube midpoint question.

All in all, it seemed like a pretty easy test, except for the absolutely awful essay question that I had (something about whether we place too much emphasis on practical skill - haven't heard this mentioned yet).

Yes.. there was only two
I was somewhat disconcerted by that... didnt let it bother me too much though

What was that one sentence completion with a REALLY weird word - I read quite a bit and I have certainly never seen or heard this word... it was i think 5 letters and started with an E?

YEs...u r a smart cookie

did anyone get lots of As and Bs for the writing mc?

i dont remember...prolly different section from mine

4 E i think for writing

I didnt like the essay topic either... oddly it was very much like the one given on March 12 (science and tech practical applications... creativity). So, I modified my essay slightly and went with that.. worked last time, so it should again!

Hmm.. dont know about the 4
I suppose we will see soon
I believe I got a lot of AB.. not too much, but more than usual

For the one that talked about partners when traveling, and it asked what feeling the descriptions of the settings described invoked, was it "provincial charm", or "foreboding isolation"?

the only one that i for some reason has trouble with on cr was what wild meant...with searching for intelligent life...because in i believe the last paragraph or next to last they said something along the lines of "the idea of SETI is a little WILD. Its zaniness is blah blah along the lines of that the most pragmatic results of today started out as such ventures and had completely different intentions initially...and even the radio was the result of guys name messing with waves and some physicist guy" even though nikola tesla was the one who invented the radio blah

but it was like betwen a couple n i think that for some reason i ended up putting savage which was the answer most obviously wrong..but the other i might have put was risky but it somehow just ddint seem risky it seemed like they were trying to say inadvertent and seemingly useless i dunno

I put provincial charm for that one

yea lots of a's and b's...but i still dont get how the cube one was 1/8 and not 1/6

o yeh luckyducky and albert i put had had im pretty sure that was wrong...either very obviously or a trick....and yeh i also had truoble with the so much work that it took most of the class 2 weeks to complete it or some crap like that...somjehow "so much taht it" didn't sound right in comparison to one of the answers i think C...but i ended up putting no error

i think its eccentricity, i was pretty confident...but i could be wrong

also, for the last question in section 10 about the bad smell of coffee, what was the answer to that? i think i put C

pimpa definately 1/8 or i will give you my head

What did other people put for the one question about what mood the statements evoked, "provincial charm", or "foreboding isolation" ?

experimental too

vehement can u explain me why....this was my reasoning...if u cut of every corner of the cube you will end up with for identical parts and another cube in the middle...if u slice the middle cube in half...then you will have two parts the same size as the other four....therefore...if u have six parts the same size then its 1/6...
i might be wrong cuz i wasnt paying attention (cuz i already did well enought in march) so vehement or anyone please tell my why i am...

The sentence that started off with "That" was no error.
