@lelouchFTW i just googled the question and i saw h2 as a reducing agent in some of the results. sorry :(

wow, I can hardly remember anything about that test now

anyway there was this one t/f/ce question where it gave you a picture and it asked about the water level in a tube and container and atmospheric pressure:
t, t, ce?

can you link me to that question?

lelouch is right, it is 1.00. 11.0 has three sigfigs, which was the smallest amount.

Also, I believe w was the age. H2 wasn’t, as it was H that was, not the compound itself.

ok I just saw that question online and it said H2 is oxidized and W is reduced, but if that’s true then W still stands as the oxidizing agent so my answer is technically correct right?

i’m not too sure

for the hess’s law question you only had to add the values right ??

What was unstable compound of sulfur?

oh wait… aren’t oxidizing and reducing agents only reactants???

ya that one was -35

@lax8294 i think it was SF3

@squashaddict: yes, they are only reactants

what were the answers to that section in part I about making a gas, which one had no visible change and two others?? i thought those were SOOO DIFFICULT

@chemmy yup.

I’m not sure, I just remember that reducing agent is the thing that’s being oxidized or losing electrons, and the oxidizing agent is the thing that’s being reduced or gaining electrons.

@chemmy yea that was pretty tough… i think for the gas i got calcium carbonate since carbonates can dissolve in an acid to produce carbon dioxide… not too sure

no visible change was the h2so4 and naoh one. That was the only acid base combination. making a gas was the solid somethingcarbonate and hcl, as H2 is liberated.
