Official List of 2009 National Merit Semifinalist Scores

Guam is considered a US territory right? I know officially it is, but sometimes its left out of shipping orders or things such as that. I would like to know since my score would qualify for territory but not for international. Thank you!

Yes, Guam is definitely a United States territory.

I didn’t see a convenient answer to your question from a Google search, but why would you have any doubt if you are a resident of Guam?

Whats the cut off for commended scholar status? Does anyone know. Because I got a 200 and live in Florida. I hope they don’t do a lottery like it says in one of the last replies. I’m in the 96th percentile. I hope I get in, just for the little letter thing and the title. It says on the website that commended students get notified through their high schools in late september. Its now late september. I wish I would have heard by now. I wish I had got a few points higher. If I got 11 points higher I’d be a semifinalist like my one friend. Or I wished I got one more point and lived in Wyoming. So close, but yet so far! haha.

This year’s commended student cut-off is 201.

I had better close this thread to avoid confusion later in the school year.
