^ There was only one 'delete the sentence' question.
So, yes we are.

paperhat,u narrowed it down to two wrong answers

for the first question in the ones about the black schoolteacher, did you guys put 'her mother never wanted to live in a city' , 'didn't want to live in NY' , or 'put her daughters needs in ahead of her own'. Because all of them seemed reasonable.

Sorry if I have asked some of the same questions twice, but I'm just really angsty, since I may not get another chance to take the SATs (which is no doubt an excelent thing for my sanity)

It's daughter's welfare over her own necessities...
The first para said that the mom put away the money... didn't use it to buy food, pay bills... 'That money was mine'...

See what I mean?

That's okay. Np. :)

for the last writing section, does anyone remember the scandinavian question?

But it was noted that she started saving money before arriving to New York, possibly suggesting that she had never wanted to live in a big city. Then, while she did put her daughters necessities above her own, it also explicitly notes that she wanted to leave NY.

I went with the one about wanted to leave NY, but you're probably right.

The passage said SHE never wanted to live in a big city... but then she started saving for her daughter and (later)... it said that she sent me (the daughter) to ... blah.

So the main idea was that even though the mom didn't want to be in the city, she went there to save money so she could send her daughter to a good school.

for the rocks/paint question, does anyone remember what was similar between the signs? i remember one of the answers was that they were both painted on rocks.

I think I put painted on rocks too.. they were both painted on rocks so thats probably the answer... The first passage had that name of the Cabin on a rock and so did the paint company(?) in the second passage.. The person getting interviewed said like it was all over the forest, rocks, trees, and etc.

argh... that seems like such a stupid answer though.

the other choices were pretty dumb too...

^ And that was the tricky part of the question.
TOO stupid.

yeah, it was painted on rocks, and the idea was to get you to waste time second guessing yourself.

Do you guys recall a wr q that was like - had the the stock prices rose vs. if the stock prices had risen?

I put the first one, but I wasn't sure.

i think it was had risen due to parallel structure.

Nick, I think, vaguely, that Silver is correct, it had to do w/ parallel structure....and I think I put had risen to go w/ the parallel of had ______ from before....

it was like C. had risen

^ Me too.

The question was...
Peter(or wtv the guy's name was) believed that if the stock prices had risen (correct answer) he would have had to move to another town.

hey narcissa, for writing how many no errors did you have and which one??

I trust your knowledge bows

I got 2 No Errors.
The 'Someone need not' one...
And the other, I don't remember.

(Just helping...)

^yep. and the one about the Quilts that these native people made
