Official May 2008 SAT discussion

CR is tough. The sentence completions seem weird.

did anyone get like a fair amount of no errors for the grammar section like 6-7 in the 35 Question one

@kgfosure -> I remember one section that had two 'No Error's.

^were they around 26,27,28?

kgfosure: yeah for the experimental section i got 4 Es

if i missed 4 grid ins and 2-3 multiple choice, what would that be about?

^around 670/680

-3 multiple choice
-1 grid-in (june babies was a grid-in right? that's the one i got wrong)

700+? >< pleaseeee tell me it is

kmz: You should get a 700... but if CB decides to be a d1ck then you might end up with a 690..

But ff I had to bet on it, I would say you'd get a 700 if you only have 3 mc and one grid in wrong...

WOW. -3MC and -1GI = 700?! the curve is STEEP man. i could easly get that many wrong just by being careless. or i could get it all right if i'm being extra-meticulous one day. wow this college game is random

Well, that was October's curve for math; it was a below average curve. May's math definitely was not harder than average so I assume the curves will be similar.. You also have to keep in mind once you get 3 wrong you are going to lose -.75 which means one less raw point...

There are some other curves that you can get -5 and get a 700 but .. for the May SAT it just isn't going to happen..

I think that you might be able to get that for this actually, but -4 might be slightly more realistic. Although this wasn't a difficult math test, there were some weird questions... so I'm debating whether they might have a -1 curve or nothing at all myself

The May SAT Math section didn't seem too difficult - though undoubtedly there were some "tricky" questions (cough cough german/italian? cough cough). I doubt that the curve will be overly generous. I'm thinking-1 of 780/770. The CR stands a better chance of achieving a more test-taker friendly curve as it was unanimously agreed it seemed a bit difficult (yes?)

Well, we'll know soon enough.

critical reading,i think,will have a normal curve.

You didn't think the CR was hard!? Wow - genius mate! lol.

I hope it's generous - I need the curve. -_-

^there were a couple of hard questions here and there ,but overall the it was a typical critical reading test.

i am also hoping for a nice curve:)
i am praying i don't make dumb mistakes in math.i know the curve for math is going to be REALLY brutal
