Official May 2008 SAT discussion

historical perspective?

Yes, historical perspective.

magzt: was it the "historical aspect" or w/e?

Gosh I love how everyone on CC can remember specific questions from the test as well as the answer choices. At my school I ask someone two minutes after we finish the test if they remembered how to do this one type of question and they tell me that they already forgot...

My essay sucked a lot. Ah well. Does anyone remember the fill in the blank question in CR that was talking about a skate park and one of the choices for the first blank was perfunctory? I kept changing my answers for that one because I wasn't sure if the park was supposed to be 'reviled or revered' or 'ignored or revered'. Bleh, that probably wasn't even a hard question.

that was a different question, but i put that answer too. it was the last one in that batch of "Snake" questions.

What did you guys put for the CR vocab one about poems / symphonies, I think it was euphonic?

what did you guys put for the question asking about the "bleakness" mentioned from the anime/comics passage?

yeah i put euphonic also

stone_cutter: what were some of the choices?

Damn, all my sentence completions are wrong but euphonious is correct.

The only choice i remember was "artful representaions", since that was what i put.

Bore is right as well

what was the answer to the sentence completion with the metamorphosis of butterflies? it was like number 1, but i remember not being able to answer it right away

methodical?

i put systematic

magzt: for the butterflies one, i put systematic, not sure though

what was the answer to the math question that asked for like h(1)? It was a grid in and included a table with f(x) and g(x)

I put systematic

greatttt thats wat i put and then wrote something else...

elsaphant: i don't think methodical was a choice...
