And for the instruments was it “with”
What was the instruments question again?
Hi guys, I’m not sure if I should cancel my scores, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. I had to use the restroom, but when I returned, the invigilator already started the timer, so I had three fewer minutes to work. I continued on working, and I had to use the restroom AGAIN, and it was quite an emergency, but I couldn’t go because there were no breaks. Based off the discussion in this thread, I know I got 2 math wrong, 3 reading wrong, and 3 writing wrong.
Now assuming:
-3 Math
-4 Reading
-4 Writing, with 9 essay
… What score range can I expect, and is it worth it to cancel? Btw, I took two espresso shots, hence my incontinence lol.
@mzr1998 In my previous SAT I got 2 math, 5 reading, 2 writing with 8 essay. I got 2130 so I’m assuming you’ll get somewhere around that score as well?
@mzr1998 tbh I wouldnt cancel with those stats, thats really good. You can expect above a 2100.

@TheCHAMPION Thank you for your response. So do you think it’s unlikely that I can score 2200+?

@Yakisoba It was like “amateurs are better at using these instruments than they are with other instruments”
Yeah but the only other option that was reasonable was “they could”

OR
musicans handle modern instruments with more ease than they could with traditional instruments
@mzr1998 I’m sorry but yeah I think it’s unlikely. Even if the curves are better, you can’t realistically expect 70 points higher. But you never know - maybe you’ll get only 2 math, 3 reading, and 3 writing, and an 11/12 writing score. That way it might be possible. The thing is, reading/writing have easier curves, but math curves are harsher. I missed 2 on math last time and got a 720.
I think thats what I chose…but honestly, what did you guys think of today’s test? I know that whoever got the knitting question (including me) got an experimental math but the CR was hard today. Writing was medium.
@thebest98 Thanks, man! Its just really frustrating because I’ve been aiming for at least 2200+ and my self-study regimen has been pretty intense (I’ve been practicing with real exams) so to know that I effed up after all that work, and that it could have gone better is just disheartening.
Oh, I remember that now. I think I put “than they could,” but that’s probably not the most concise.
@xigjii I got all of those. No worries!
@mzr1998 You can expect anywhere from 2120 to 2230. Nice!
@mzr1998 No problrem
I Literally broke down crying after the test because I was so worried… Just why do they have to include experimentals…
Well, onto AP Exams!
@thebest98 For CR I found the African American passage difficult, but the rest were alright. Math was medium, and writing was easy.
@TheCHAMPION Well, thanks for being honest, I’ll just try to keep the stupid off my mind and just move on lol.
@Yakisoba Thanks! Definitely hoping for the upper end of that range!
@thebest98 I honestly thought this CR section (esp. vocab) was pretty easy. Math was brutal but that’s only becaue I got the experimental.
Btw, was the question right after knitting the one with the two triangles, and a bunch of sides = 8? The answer choices were all between 4 and 6.
Does anyone remember anything about “conceding a point” in the DNA CR passage? It was the part of the passages where the two authors were like “Now I know that blah blah, but still I maintain my point…” but I was sort of unsure of whether it was conceding a point or clarifying a misconception.
