@Yakisoba It was either 8 or 16 for sure, but I can’t remember what I put down. Pretty sure it was 8 though. Remind me again, was this the one with one of its sides as 8sqrt(3)?
@Yakisoba do you remember any other vocab
@mzr1998 2100 isn’t bad - it’s still 97th percentile! Besides, even if you don’t get 2200+, you have October, November, and December (assuming you’re a junior). If you’re a sophomore you have a lot more time. Don’t be discouraged.
@Terraform The correct answer was “to concede a point”
@Terraform Yeah I got ‘conceding a point’ as one of my answers! I’m pretty sure it’s correct.
^Agreed
I put clarifying a misconception. There was also “clarify a misunderstanding” i think.
I put concede a point, but other people argue that it was “rationalize a belief.” I didn’t think that was right because they didn’t provide evidence to justify why people could have thought DNA was good/bad…they merely stated that that was what people believed.
@xigjii The only vocab I think i missed was the one about how the friend annoyed the other friend, but instead of getting mad, she thought it was silly. The right answer was vexed…ludicrous,
Guys, I felt like the CR had some informal jargon. Do you guys remember the art passage where one of the questions was “to see what the fuss is about” and another one talking about a director where his hand movements were “showy”?
That was extremely unprofessional and unneeded on CollegeBoard’s Part.
@thebest98 I put down both of those answers, lol. I figured that if it shows up as an answer choice not in Writing, then it’s a valid option that needs to be considered equally.
And to be fair, showy isn’t that informal.
yea I chose those two answers too haha @thebest98
Yeah Yakisoba, I guess we have to consider picking the stupidest answer (learned that lesson!)
Quick question for you all, if a section has an experimental question like the knitting one that Yaki and I got, does that mean the whole SECTION is experimental?
@thebest98 I would assume so, since in the official book they omit the entire experimental section.
Does anybody remember the exact wording for the answer to the central parallelism question? I think I chose something about commuting daily to the auditorium and I don’t remember if that was in the same answer with seasonal change?!?!?!
@Yakisoba Ok great; What other questions were in that section, do you remember?
Hey for the theater passage, did you guys say the first paragraph is characterized by suspense?
@ZaGongShow The question asked how something in the passage related to the actors’ actions, and the answer was that it was parallel with the seasonal change found in the passage. I explicitly remember that they started on a “warm day” and were depressed on a gloomy day… And yeah commuting daily was another answer choice, but its wrong
@ASAP123 I said disappointment
Also, what was the answer to the african american politician speaker question - in context to the whole passage, which of the following does the author not do in the first paragraph?
I think the answer choices were like describing setting/setting a scene or like depicting an organization but I can’t remember the answer…
@thebest98 Did the last question involve two triangles and having to find the length of a part of a side? I really need to know, because I missed that one as well as the knitting one.
