@asap123 yeah me too!
do you guys remember any more questions from experimental math?
For the african american politics speaker - was it sharpening her perception of politics or serving as model for her future or something? I put serving as a model but the consensus seems to be sharpening her perception but I still dont get why…
Yeah it was the perspective of the actors; the narrator mentioned “they…felt this” several times. The only other one that made sense was “an impartial narrator taking a perspective from all sides”
Clearly they both feel strongly about the opposite sides. Passage one does not feel mildly it has a firm opinion
@ASAP123 k thanks ur explanation justmakes me feel more confident about my answer
@ZaGongShow The playground incident taught her what politics was really about - involvment in local community. Therefore it sharpened her perception of politics. Nothing in passage suggests that she actually applied that experience as you would with a model.
@mzr1998 but i thought it mentioned in the passage that she continues to use that incident as a model even when she was grown up, hence i chose serve as a model…
I put sharpening perception of politics. She clearly mentioned how her view of “local politics” changed, and considering how the whole passage was about giving a political speech, I didn’t think serving as a model for aid was specific enough.
For the person who asked what my score range is, I honestly don’t know. At best I did -1 Math, -2 CR -2 writing with 10 essay, at worse I did -4 M, -10 CR, -5 W with 6 essay.
@mzr1998 Probably somewhere in the mid to low 1800s if im lucky.
Yeah it was definitely perception of politics, that was an easy one.
So what examples did you guys do for the essay?
were there any difficult questions in the theatre passage? i honestly cant remember anymore… but i wanna see how many i got right/wrong
@ZaGongShow The only difficult ones were what the first paragraph was for and for another question, which of those choices symbolized change in the actors (which was seasons)
@thebest98 My examples were the Trobrianders of Papua New Guinea (anthropology), Fiela’s Child (literature), and my PSAT score lol (personal anecdote).
@thebest98 woops i meant what about the last reading passage?
@mzr1998 Lol I used an example about my hypothetical grandfather and edward snowden. Hopefully its good enough since I feel like I used a bunch of great words and really integrated my best writing into that essay.
@thebest98 Nice! What prompt did you have?
In the theatre passage, did the “naked” refer to unoccupied?
yes @ZaGongShow
@mzr1998 Mine was about loyalty, and what constitutes it. How about you?
