Hey I did Edward Snowden too!
@ZaGongShow Yeah naked meant unoccupied. I personally wouldnt use that word to describe something unoccupied but its the SAT after all…
I actually enjoy writing the essay because you get to make up random s*** as you go (books, research, history, you name it). Gives me a little chuckle
YEAHH YOU GO ASAP
Btw, for the theater, the perspective was from the actors but by a narrator right?
i had to make up Zheng Le the chinese general of the the Qing dynasty for my loyalty prompt lol hopefully my essay isn’t graded by an east asia historian
@ASAP123 Yes, from the actors. The narrator mentioned that “they” did this and “they” felt that, so clearly, the author wanted us to be in the perspective of the actors.
@ASAP123 Yes!
@ayylmao1 That sounds strangely similar to Zheng He the chinese explorer…
I’m so glad I didn’t do snowden lol. Mine was more cliché, however, with MLK.
Ok, I just realized that I supported my essay with two of the most common examples ever–school and MLK.
That’s gg boys.
Why is the theatre one seasons? Shouldn’t it be commuting to the theater because I remember in the passage they described their commute to the theater as starting out all gloomy and when they get near the theater, it gets enthusiastic and all? Also, for the jetpack questions, why is it NE? Shouldn’t it be D because its not “such devices” but rather “such device” since the only device it is referring to are jetpacks? Shouldn’t jetpacks be classified as a single device since they are all the same device?
LOOOOL
Lmao shouldve used snowden. Why are you glad u didnt use it haha
@yolomaster98 Its NE because jetpacks is PLURAL—>such deviCES.
Plurality stays consistent in a sentence like this
@thebest98 because I’d assume a lot of people used snowden. I guess I used an even more common example, ugh. I hope I got a 9 or 10 purely on style and syntax, but it’s looking kinda bleak at this point.
@thebest98 was that experimental section lol? (praying it is)
@Yakisoba Honestly dude, thats all they’re looking for. They dont care about your examples, just how well you integrate it into the argument and how persuasive you are. The essay is so formulaic its not even funny. If tis was AP Language then Id tell you ur screwed big time
@yolomaster98 no that wasnt experimental, sorry. I Know this because I had an experimental math and this question was still there, everyone had it
Damn that is a stinger for me. I debated for a whole minute on that question. What about that theater one I was asking?
Yeah I mean in school i have this really hard lit teacher, but I still get consistent As on essays when the class average is a C every time, so I guess I have some writing ability. In 8th grade I got a 7 though, so I really have no idea what I’m gonna get this time.
Did anyone experience any difficulty on the experimental sections?
Why the hell did I take this damn exam in May.
