I actually liked the "Do people place too much emphasis on winning?" essay.
I talked about Alexander the Great, David and Goliath, and Barack Obama.
How people think that winning matters, when it's incredibly arbitrary and often things like personality win out over talent or skill.

haha you could've SO used college admissions for that question

TRUE. "For instance, top colleges use something as obsolete and archaic as a standardized test to place a number upon a person and force them to embrace their pettiness and shallow sense of competition."

Suck it, College Board.

lol
karminai, i wish i would of used that

I haven't seen this question asked: The first grid in, that was like:
3000<3000+x<4500
What is the least value of x possible?

It was 1001, right? I remember thinking it was way too easy to be correct.

there was one sentence completion about a guy who was very skilled at his job because he could read his costumers or something like that... anyone remember the answer to that one?

So, if there were two math grid-in sections, does that mean one of them was an experimental?

(z), yes. which one do you think it was?

lopo: it was preternatural, anticipate

hey, could someone predict my score?

i think i got
6 wrong in CR
0 wrong in math
0-1 wrong in writing
10 on the essay

what do you think the scale will be like, and what do you think my score will be?

thanks!

was the grid-in question for math about the value of constant a an experiment question?

2320 composite

dma, you really think 6 wrong in CR is still at least a 720? Tha'd be AWESOME!!!

how about mine
-2 CR
-0 M
-1 W, 11 essay

Hey all,

For the last question on the nature/trash double passage, was the answer A? The question was which of the following does passage 2 mention and NOT passage 1.

lol probably 2380-2400 ^

Yeah 6 wrong on reading might get you 20. 2 wrong is generally 780-800.

oh yeah, there was that question with a circle and a line thru it forming a trigangle, and we had to find the slope of the line. did anyone else get 5/4? or was that on the experimental section?

It was 5/4 I believe. It might be eperimental though.

i thought it was 5/4 as well..not experimental

and ughh, id be sad if i got a 2380 just because :(

yay i hope i pull out an 800 on the math secion... i thinkl there's a good chance. although i thought i got an 800 on the last one and made a horribly bad stupid mistake :(

and of course writing i always think i got an 800, but it's so easy to miss something on writing... i predict a little higher than the 770 like the last SAT, unless i do really well on the essay.

and then CR, my achilles heel. hopefully dma is correct and i'll get over 700. i'd be absolutely ecstatic if i got a 2300 :)
