wow so many hashed over questions are coming back from the dead...

ccpwnz, financial decisions was the better answer b/c there were 2 instances where the author mentions it (save money by excluding animals, draw in different customer base who pays more) vs. parents which was more 'casually' mentioned and not solid enough to be the basis of the author's commendation of cirque de soleil

hope that was helpful

@lovepanera (post #685)

in reference to post #560 (page 14).

23(n-1) = (50-p)90 derived from
23n + 90p = 4523.
The question was about one possible value of n+p for positive integers n and p. There are three possible answers:
1+50=51
91+27=118
181+4=185.

I had a problem with the answer shrewd financial decisions. 'Shrewd' assumes that the author was necessarily ridiculing the choice to not use animals, which was simply not the case. As a result, I resorted to the lesser evil, because the author does indeed suggest that the new circus attracted adults instead of kids. Parents would fall under the adult category, and the parent choice also makes sense in the context of comparing children to adults.

For the most part, the College Board is really good about providing one answer choice than can be well supported by the text. This question happens to be an anomaly, which is unfortunate for all of us.

OMG did anyone get something in sentence completion like ....in order to make the negotiation more......the ....made... I don't remember precisely

was it secret somthing or diplomatic + elicit or something else??

^secret....cladenstine

does anyone know which section was experimental in the may 3 sat? and what's the diff bet the pink cover and black n white cover sat test booklets???

u can go to after test on collegboard

another one:does anyone remember one of the MC in writing 35quetions
something about violin could have a better sound after preserved for 100 years

what's the error??

I put adult

ya i deleted the e-mail sentence too i think i'm right cuz the passage was mainly concerned with the telegraph

do u remember the violin one?

Hey ^ did u put inspire weakness and inspire wonder?

u mean the one in sublime? I don't really remember that question

inspire wonder. I am pretty sure.I took SAT in Singapore

@pearandson

i don't think shrewd necessarily implied that... i think the shrewd in this context just meant the decisions were clever, smart, etc...

and ohkay , i'm sorry, but i just have another question about the italian german one lol.....
i understand all the math and everything. but what exactly did the question ask for? the number of students who took ONLY italian or the total number of students who took italian?
because if it were only italian, it'd be six
but if it were total number, it'd be 21....

this has probably been discussed already but oh well..

@chauclin i put inspire wonder and inspire weakness for different questions

@lovepanera

It asked for those who take only italian

Hey ^ did u put inspire weakness and inspire wonder for different questions?

for the violin question, i think it was the second violin reference, because it was comparing like the sound of one violin with another violin which is an incorrect comparison

i don't remember any violin thingie :( jog my memory please

Wow. It appears as though I thought shrewd meant something completely different that what it actually means.
