---Official May 3rd Sat Thread---

pearandson, through your explanation of why you picked parents i really got the feeling that you over analyzed and assumed too many things...

well it's only 1 question and i myself actually over analyzed a MATH question; i thought the german is 3 more than italian meant that total number of german takers are 3 more than total italian takers...needless to say it took me forever to reach a decision.

Hate to say it, but that IS right.

seriously

i've heard that said a bunch of times

dont u guys know ur math -_-

of people just taking german - # of people just taking italian = 3

TOTAL # of people just taking german - TOTAL # of people just taking italian = 3

wow

sorry :)

u guys are good, what score are u guy shooting for?
man, i think im only in the 1900 range right now`~~
how did u guys score high? tutor? or just naturally smart?
mann.,,,

2400 duh

no im just kidding, i'd like 2250+ but i'd be happy with 2200+ too. according to my dad i'll at least have hope then...

naturally smart? i wish. but sat has nothing to do with smartness , at least thats what i think ;)

lol narcissa.
i think i just hit some kind of mental barrier on that question
i mean, if theres 6 italian only and 9 german only, how can we distribute the 15 both takers to mantain a diff of 3? oh well, i didn't really care about math this time anyways. :)

I got a good analogy from my student today:
if
those who study only German have right eye only, and
those who study only Italian have left eye only, and
those who study both languages have both eyes,
then this question translates:
the total number of students = 30,
the number of right-eyers is 3 more then the number of left-eyers,
the number of two-eyers is the same as the number of one-eyers,

everybody has at least one eye.

9 right-eyers, 6 left-eyers, 15 two-eyers, 30 altogether.

HI. did anybody still remember one writing MCQ question? it is about the area of US is as big as combined sth... i dont really recall. Is the answer E? did anyone remember? it is the same question as in the official online course of CB. but the answer is online course is different from what i chose on the test day. I think CB changed the sequence of the choice.

Anyone nervous about May 20th (or is it 21 or 22?) the day that we get our results. I am because I won't get another chance to retake by ED time.

I can't believe people are still arguing about italians. There were much more messed up questions.

I still haven't come to terms with the drilling of lake Vladstok being fortuitous, dissapointing, or catastrophic. I put fortuitous, but I kinda am feeling dissapointing. I hated that passage. I'm not even going to rebring up the Cirque.

^ Its May 22nd, and the answer was DEFINITELY fortuitous, I would literally bet 200 gumballs (50 US dollars) on it.

Nick017: why don't you retake it in october? that's what i'm doing.

it is fortuitous. and gcf: lmao what????

8 dayssssss

HEY EVERYONE.
on the day of the test, I bubbled in my registration number w/o the preceding 2 zeroes. is this a big deal?!
anyway the testing center "reprinted" our tickets and we had to put the number on the new piece of paper and it didn't have the first 2 zeroes idk...
respond please!

@Narcissa - huh?
6 dayssss

ur score might be delayed freesia001, but it's probably not liek ur test is lost or anythign since u have ur name address everything correctly bubbled in (hopefully).

Hi guys, actually i sucked on the test tooooooo. haizzzzzz

Is it usual that we can receive our score 2 days earlier???

Look at this, you can know which experimental section you got:

Anyway, we can do nothing now, just keep calm and wait for the result. Oh my God i'll have to take the SAT II this June!!!!!!!!

Okay, for anyone who had 4 RC sections... which one was the experimental.... I"m am praying that it was the one about the stone painted advertisements? I"m not going to read through all 49 pages of comments, but can someone just tell me which ones they thought was the experimental?

Sorry, you're out of luck dude. The stone painted one was not an experimental. The experimental that I had was about dinosaur foot prints.

hahahha ... that made me LOL...no reason...just because its so stupidly random XD

5 days...I'm dying to know already!!!

@Narcissa, lol, yeah it was stupid but at the time it was actually pretty interesting, which kind of creeps me out...btw, what was your experimental?

Lol, I can't wait either!
