***OFFICIAL May SAT US History Thread***

.

Does anyone know what the usual curve is?

bump 10char

i will be taking it in may, hoping for 800. CB blue book says like -11 is still 800, but i’ve heard that now it is a harsher curve

Yeah I think it’s no better than -6 or -7 now. Are you not using Krieger’s Insider’s guide? It’s literally the best for SAT USH and APUSH

okay so who hasn’t started studying besides me

i actually just got the insider’s guide like two days ago. That’s where i saw the sentence about the curve, although it didn’t specific what it got changed to. I’m pretty lucky because our teacher gives us a multiple choice final exam anyways, before the AP & SAT II, which will force me to study as well as be prepared early.

oh yeah and i also have AMSCO but idk what to read first

Insider’s is all you need I think. I hear some of the MC questions in there are verbatim the same as on the test.

I’m using AMSCO. Should I use Insider’s instead?

i have both. if you’re just starting amsco now, you probably won’t finish it before the test. it’s long

Yeah, I’ve been using AMSCO since January. Not worried about not finishing it. But, is AMSCO enough to get 700+ on the subject test? I don’t want to put much time into another prep book.

only 700+? yeah, AMSCO is certainly enough. that book is so dense that if you knew everything in it you could probs get 800

Anyone have any practice tests for the SAT II USH that you can please provide me?!

i second that, please share! the spark notes SAT test prep section has been down for quite a while…

Third that motion… I only have one pdf of the test that I found.

@BearGlove‌
Could you please provide that to me?!

I thank you in advance.

I dont know about you guys but even if the curve was -15 = 800, the test is really daunting. I mean its 90 questions! That said, are any of you guys fully prepared for this? MY Ap class is only up to the cold war, so I dont think I’ll be prepared for the 70s-90s.

I hate your name bruh… Jarjar… But anyways, just get the Essential Guide by Larry Krieger and cram up. You do need to know stuff from the 70s to 90s but it won’t be too bad. The curve is more like -9 btw.

I am pretty scared for this test. Not so long ago I took a diagnostic before reviewing anything and got a 600. We were only up to the 30s by then, but I have to use all the time I can to review for this thing, if I want at least a decent score like a 720+

@BearGlove thats why I said “even IF (emphasis on the IF) the curve was -15.” my point was the curve wouldnt be lenient even if it was -15 for 800, since there are so many questions.
